| Arizona Desert | ||||||
| I am feeling detached today I yearn to get back to my core To dance to the feeling of the earth In the warm dirt of the Arizona Desert I desire the heat beneath my feet The dust to fly around me as the wind Immerses me in itself I want to be filled with its essence I yearn for sunset When the desert turns a dark auburn red And the sky illuminates the clouds That threaten the horizon A desert storm Filled with the hot and sultry wind, And big warm drops of rain Caressing my skin It is here that I feel remembered Untouchable, strong and pure Here I can find myself Admist the unknown When I am one with the earth I feel my spirit grow But without that strong connection My soul's path is clouded and unclear To dance to the wind in the Arizona Desert To wipe the rain from my brow To suspend reality in the tips of my fingers And really let myself go This is when my soul is content Amidst the painful world But only when I can dance freely In the soft red dirt, of Arizona |
