| And You Replied | ||||||
| I asked you whey we stumble Through this lifetime And you replied... The brook would lose its song Had it no pebbles The ocean would lose its majesty Had it a visible end The mountians would lose their strength Had they no incline And you would lose your beauty Had you no fire in your eyes ...We stumble to leave a path We fall to leave a scar We swim to reach a different place on earth We climb to reach a different place within ourselves I asked you why we cry In moments of great sorrow And you replied... The rain would have no story Had we no tears The forest would have no children Had we no tears The ocean would have no waves Had we no tears Life would have no meaning Had we no tears I asked you why we live When we accomplish nothing And you replied... The sun would have no fury Had we no passion The sky would have no mystery Had we no dreams The world would have no adventure Had we no ideas And life would cease to exist Had we no purpose I asked you why you loved me In spite of all the pain And you replied... The mind has no importance When you are with me The sky has no darkness When you are with me The moon has more radience When you are with me And The heart would have no purpose Had you no love for me |
