| Some people ask me "How did you become a Lindsay Armaou fan?" Well the answer is here. Read the story... First let me say, bless the internet. If it wasn't for the internet, I wouldn't have known who B*Witched was. I was having a conversation with one of my best friends (hi, Lauren!) back in March of '99 when she said something to the means of "I'm so happy! The B*Witched CD comes out today!" Of course I had no idea who B*Witched was, so I asked. She told me they were an all girl group from Ireland. And I said "Like the Spice Girls?" My friend and I were both massive Spice Girls fans back then, so I was mad about copycats. I looked up B*Witched on the internet and came across a B*Witched site that had all of their first album in RealAudio. I downloaded To You I Belong (I don't know why I picked that one, but I did. The first B*Witched song I ever heard!) and I loved it. Something kind of went through me at the end of the first chorus. "To you I belong..." It got to me. I saw a picture of the girls and thought the curly haired one was prettiest. From then on, I'd basically forgotten B*Witched. Now second of all, let me say, bless satellite. It was Spring Break and I was down at my mom's chilling out, watching TV. I was going through the TV Guide on her sattelite when I saw on Disney that the next show starting was B*Witched & Five In Concert. I decided to watch it. Since it didn't come on for about 10 minutes, I looked ahead and saw that Disney would be playing it about 5 times that day. Yow! Anyway, the show came on and the girls introduced themselves. I recognized them all and still thought the curly haired one was the prettiest. Anyway, I watched the show, heard their songs, and basically thought they were great. They blew me away. But it came down to Lindsay when the girls were talking about Disney Land. One yell from Lindsay saying "I'm finally here and it's beautiful!" won me over as a Lindsay fan. Thanks to that little clip, I am the Lindsay fan I am today. Later on in the show, the girls sang To You I Belong. Lindsay stepped up to sing her line that had pierced me over the computer and I just froze up. The next time the show was on, I recorded it. Since that day, I have bought every B*Witched CD, video, poster, etc. that I've seen. After learning a lot about Lindsay and the others, I was set on making a B*Witched website. And then after I saw how much I really loved Lindsay, Lindsay World was started way back in May of 1999 and opened June 9 the same year. I made this website because I wanted a source of information for Lindsay Armaou fans since I couldn't find one initially. Nowadays you'll find all sorts of info about Lindsay, but remember where you read it first! Anyway, that's the story of how I became the Lindsay Armaou fan I am today. One line of singing and one shout (the giggle didn't hurt either) resulted in this website. The world works in mysterious ways... |
