B*Witched
FHM May 2000By Sean McMenomy

LEFT TO RIGHT: EDELE, KEAVY, SINEAD, LYNDSAY, LONDON, FEBRUARY 2000
Irish foursome, B*Witched are Sinead O'Carroll (26), the most
sophisticated and talkative one; twins Edele and Keavy Lynch (21),
the level-headed half of the group - who also happen to be the younger
sisters of Shane from Boyzone - and Lyndsay Armaou (22), the giggly
one who gets most of the lustful e-mails via the B*Witched website.
However, the girls' fondness for denim has almost been eclipsed by
their annoyingly wholesome image - they wouldn't even admit to
enjoying a drop of the hard stuff. At FHM's exclusive photo shoot,
the girls are excited to be prancing around in sexier clothes and
want to banish their goody-goody image once and for all...

LYNDSAY: "I LIKE G-STRINGS. IF YOU WEAR A PAIR OF NORMAL PANTIES, THEY END UP LIKE A G-STRING ANYWAY!"
So, did you sack the stylist who put you all in those jeans?
Edele: Ha ha, no. We're still good friends with her, and even go out
with her for a drink occasionally. It was just time to move on, that
was all.
Sinead: Our new sexy image is really exciting because it's so
different, and a lot more grown-up.
Keavy: Yeah, everyone knows we can sing and dance - and now you get
all this, too. If you have it, you may as well flaunt it.

KEAVY: "I ONCE DRESSED LIKE A POLICEWOMAN, WITH THE HAND CUFFS AND
WHISTLE."
What about the "we're so perfect we don't drink" business? Will you
finally admit to liking a tipple now and again?
Edele: I don't know where the stories saying that we don't drink came
from. I really don't like booze - I just hate the taste of it - but I
think because I said that once, everyone assumed we were all the same.
But it's not true.
Sinead: I really like Guinness. A pint of that is as good for you as
having a meal, I reckon. I love Malibu and pineapple. Oh, and pina
coladas too.
Keavy: I used to drink Malibu and Baileys, mixed, in the same glass.
But I once had so much it made me sick, so there's no way I could
touch it again. These days, I don't drink that much at all.

SINEAD: "I REALLY LIKE GUINNESS. A PINT OF THAT IS AS GOOD FOR YOU AS HAVING A MEAL."
But didn't you and Edele once get labelled "The Tequila Twins" by the
tabloids?
Keavy: Yeah, but I don't know why. When I was about 17, I went to a
party and this girl offered me some tequila. I was like, "What's
tequila? How strong is it?" I didn't really know, so I had one, I had
two... and I was fine. Then I had a third one and suddenly I was in
the bathroom going, "Oh my God..." I haven't touched the stuff since.
Edele: I think that name was just another thing the press made up
about us. Like the time they said B*Witched were going to do a duet
with Metallica. I mean, what rubbish!

EDELE: "I DON'T KNOW WHERE THE STORIES SAYING THAT WE DON'T DRINK CAME
FROM. IT'S NOT TRUE."
What kind of underwear do you go for?
Lyndsay: I like G-strings. If you just wear a pair of normal panties
they end up like a G-string by the end of the day anyway! I also go
for patterns, like leopard skin or something a bit wild.
Keavy: It's got to be a G-string for me, too. You can't let anyone see
your knicker line. And I like dressing up. We once went to an
underwear shop in America where they had all these sexy US cop suits.
You know, like a policewoman, with the handcuffs and the whistle and
the hat and stuff. It was great, there was a bunch of us all dressing
up - trying it all out!
And have any of you ever risked an outdoor foray "commando" style?
Lyndsay: I have - I was wearing tight trousers. It's quite a nice
feeling, actually, but I'd never dare do it with a skirt on. FHM
B*Witched's new single, Jump Down, is out now on Epic Records.
