| If you would like to help others then having your dog or cat certified might be the way to go. Therapy pets visit shcools, nursing homes, hospitals, retirement homes,and other environments in need of stress relief. |
| Requirements: - Must be 1 year of age - Be up to date on vacinations - Pass a veterinarian's health screening - Pet must be tolerant of handling, dogs, cats, loud noises, and crowds - Must be obedient -Must be registered with a recognized therapy organization |
| Although you only hear of therapy dogs, there are many therapy cats who are wonderful at what they do and bring great joy to the people they visit. |
