| Sadly, just when Lindsay thought things couldn't get any worse, they did. Due to an unfortunate set of coincidences*, Lindsay was charged with Jessica's hit and run, an accident which had caused the death of Lindsay's own unborn grandchild, Megan, a baby fathered by Lindsay's son Will. Although Dorian was really the one responsible for Megan's death, she fearfully let Lindsay take the fall for it, standing by as the media attacked and labeled Lindsay as a baby killer. Not wanting to reveal that on the night of Jessica's accident she was bribing Jeff Barnes, Lindsay went on trial for the hit and run. | ||||||||||||||
| Lindsay was about to stand trial for Jessica's hit and run accident and Sam advised her to accept the plea bargain that was offered to her, but she refused to plead guilty for something she didn't do. Because she had no alibi, Bo admitted that he thought Lindsay was guilty. A hurt Lindsay later agreed to the plea instead of revealing her true alibi, which would have exposed her role in trying to tamper with Matthew's paternity test results. | ||||||||||||||
| Asa paid a visit to Lindsay and told her that he had arranged for a fake passport and a one-way ticket out of town. Lindsay's hearing began, but she was nowhere to be found. Had she taken Asa up on his offer? Sam was given one hour to find out. Asa found Lindsay on the hospital roof and goaded her to do everyone a favor and jump. Lindsay then climbed up on the ledge and dared Asa to push her off. Lindsay lost her footing, but Asa reached out to grab her. At that moment, Bo happened to find them and naturally assumed the worst of his father.** With Bo's urging Lindsay returned to the courtroom and pleaded not guilty, but the judge revoked her bail and sent Lindsay back to jail. In the end, Dorian confessed her role in Jessica's accident and Lindsay was cleared off all the charges against her. | ||||||||||||||
| Lindsay was furious with Dorian and Nora for allowing her to spend time in jail. Lindsay was then forced to tell Bo her real alibi for the night of the accident and confessed that she had been at the lab at the hospital. Lindsay, however, conveniently left out the part that she didn't know whether or not Jeff Barnes actually switched DNA samples for her. | ||||||||||||||
