I was born in Utica, NY and moved to Manhatten, KS when I was 3 years old. I lived there til I was in 3rd grade, then moved back to NY. Red Hook, NY to be exact. I have lived here (or the surrounding town Tivoli) since 3rd grade. I have moved many times within the town, but always stayed in the same school district. I am grateful for that.
After graduating HS, I went to Potsdam, NY, and attended The Crane School of Music, for music education. In my time there, I created amazing friendships, and joined an amazing bunch of ladies in Sigma Alpha Iota. I graduated in December of 2004. Soon after I had certification in Music, K-12.
In August of 2004, I moved to 29 Palms, California to be with Matt, my USMC boyfriend. In October of 2005 we got married in the middle of the Joshua Tree Desert. It was wonderful.
We moved to Jacksonville, NC in December of 2004, and will be stationed here for the rest of his military career. In June 2006, I was hired as the choral/drama/piano teacher at a local middle school. I started in August, and I'm enjoying my first year so far. It's tough, and hard to get used to the difference between NC and NY, but I love it. I know each year that goes by I'll be a better teacher and musican, and I can't wait. But with that said, I do miss my friends and family in NY still, and always enjoy visitors.
