Encris

Encris, One God, is the prominent religion in Lindonarlin. Long ago missionaries from the Holy Land brought the Word of the One to the people of the Tamer. The people of Encris worship Enkael for they are his children and servants of good. The religion is not a complex one, the majority laid out in four scrolls. Each scroll was written by a prophet, or Voice. These people were said to be the One's Voice in this world.
Basic Teaching
Enkael is the One. The Glorious. The only source of salvation, the source of strength and the only way to life eternal.
His Word is powerful. The Holy Truth. The Light to the path, the sword of his enemies and the promise of his heart.
Scrolls of Aden
Praise only him, the One, on high. Trust in him to guide thee for he is the light. Be kind and good hearted to all. Resist temptation and rely on the strength of the One to do so.
Scrolls of Saren
Follow the Word of the One. For wickedness is Evil and temptation it's tool. The One is powerful and will strike down those who heed not his Word. Redeem for the One alone is the way to salvation.
Scrolls of Isen
Study the Word of the One. Live the Word daily. Share it with thy neighbor and those who know not the glory of the One. For Enkael is life eternal.
Scrolls of Mosen
Enkael is always around and within you, thou are never alone. The fire is his warming presence, the wind his acknowledgment of prayer, water his soothing hand and earth his gift to the faithful. Worship the One alone and with others but worship full heartedly and intimately.
Facts:
The Archpriest Braen Altir the Holy is the figurehead of the Encrissan Church.
Sancrist is the most important and holy city of Enris. It is here that the first king Ennaen is buried. The Abbey of Enkael also is here and deep within lies the Heart Rotunda. It is here that the Scrolls of the Voices are kept always under the eye of the Silent Watch.
The Silent Watch is shrouded in mystery. All that is known is that they are an elite guard that is chosen from the most devout and fanatic followers of Enkael.
Encris is split into three churches: Church of Enkael which is a relaxed worship of the One, the Encrissan Church the most strict and traditionalized and the United Church of the Holy Word that focuses on following the Word and spreading it.
