Our house is part of the Architectural Heritage of Bogotá. Thus it can not be demolished. Its facade has to be kept like it was built. Part of the never-ending maintenance jobs is making it more comfortable and enjoyable. This picture shows a recent change in one of our living rooms. Now it has a warm and nice cast iron fireplace. |

In June 1998, we had to change the whole wooden structure that supported our roof. We converted an empty space between the ceiling and the roof into this warm living room. |

This is a view of central Bogotá at dusk, from the loft. The tall buildings are in a district called "Centro Internacional", where, among other interesting places, the Museo Nacional (National Museum) and the Plaza de Toros (Bullfighting rink) are located. (See our map) |
