Our house is part of the Architectural Heritage of Bogotá. Thus it can not be demolished. Its facade has to be kept like it was built. Part of the never-ending maintenance jobs is making it more comfortable and enjoyable. This picture shows a recent change in one of our living rooms. Now it has a warm and nice cast iron fireplace.

In June 1998, we had to change the whole wooden structure that supported our roof. We converted an empty space between the ceiling and the roof into this warm living room.

This is a view of central Bogotá at dusk, from the loft. The tall buildings are in a district called "Centro Internacional", where, among other interesting places, the Museo Nacional (National Museum) and the Plaza de Toros (Bullfighting rink) are located.
