Yes, I'm back on Ko Phanang!
And how...!!!! My God, it was an exciting trip! I wanted to take a expressboet (like a ferry) but there wasn't one in the afternoon, not busy enough, so I took a (big) speedboat. It's more expensive but it's also a lot quicker, the way to Ko Tao took me 3,5 hours with a slow boat and now it only took 1 hour, but I'll never forget this ride! At first I was sitting in front, but the waves where really big (3 meters and up...) so it was a bit dangerous in front. The boat went up and down like grazy, and at one time we bumbed so hard on a wave that it hurt a lot. All the air was out of my lungs and I gasped for air for a few moments. After this I went to the back, because I loved it in front because it was so exciting, but it's not worth my health. I was the first who the front, but not the last... everybody went to the back, the sea was just too rough.
I really loved Ko Tao, it's more quiet then Ko Phanang and it has some beautifull beaches, alltough most of the island is rock. That's why it's a good place to go diving, wich I did of course. As I told before, now I have my PADI Advanced Openwater certificate. I did my first course last year on Ko Phi Phi, also Thailand) and I liked it better there, but that could also be because the visibility (of the water) on Ko Tao wasn't that good because the rainingseason just ended. So, I just have planned my diving at the wrong time, but I enjoyed it anyway!
Especially the nightdive was a great experience, you are weightless, can't see a thing (ok, you can see some), and then the plankton... if you turn off the lights and move your arm, it's like firework. They light up for a few seconds, really beatifull. And the adralinekick, for that only I'll do it again!
I went out 2 times when I was there, but mostly I just relaxed and yes, also got bored. I would prefer to go travel a bit, but I allready notice that it's getting more crowded here and that the prices rise everyday. For excample, internet was 0,5 Bath a minute when I left her (2 weeks ago) and now it's as expensive as on Ko Tao, 2 Bath a minute. The bungalowpark I wanted to stay was full, so I had to find another place, they told me that it would cost me 250 Bath a day, but when I saw the register I could see that the person before me (in the same bungalow) paid 200 Bath a day. They tried to get an excuse by telling that he staid for a long time, but he arrived just 3 days before me... Yes, that is all part of the Holidayseason. Fortunatly there will be a vacant bungalow at the place I want to go.
Well, I have a bit of a writersblock right now, so I'll be back later with more.
Have a good time!
