Hello everybody!
I made it, I'm in Malaysia. The journey to Asia was a bit different then I expected... I should leave from Brussels, but when I got there (my mother brought me by car), I noticed that I couldn't find my passport.... Me and my mother where really stressed-out, I couldn't get a substitute there. I was supposed to leave with British Midland from Brussels but I arranged that I could leave from Amsterdam, so maybe I had just enough time to go home and see if my passport was there. When we finally arrived at home (Lelystad in the Netherlands), I found my passport on the floor under the table, hidden behind a tablepool (?). I must have dropped it when I left the house. So stupid, but I was so glad that I found it! Me and my mother raced to Amsterdam to catch my flight in time, and I did! I am very thankful of British Midland, because they didn't charge me extra for all this!
Dear mum, thank you so much for your help, you are the greatest!
When I finally arrived at the airport of Kualu Lumpur, I took a bus and lightrail into the center (at that time it was around 22:00) and then decided that I would take a nightbus to Penang (an island of Malaysia), where I arrived at 04:00, waited for a few hours and then went on to a beachtown by bus.
Penang isn't that beautiful as I expected, the beaches are so so and the sea isn't clear. An Australian man (65 years old and traveling for 16 years now!) told me that if I wanted to go to Thailand I should arrange a visa a.s.a.p. because of the local holidays and the upcoming ramadan. So today I came back to Georgetown (maincity in Penang) to arrange this, tomorrow I can pick it up and Saturday I'll leave for Krabi in Thailand.
So even now I'm on holiday, I still have a schedule to follow, before I can finally relax for a few weeks on the beach.
That's it for now, I'm hungry and I want to meet some other travelers to hang out with for a while. Excuse me for my bad English but I still have a jetlag...
Ciao, Linda
