Welcome to Linda's Journey!

This website was presented to me at my farewellparty at the 3rd of November 2001 by my best friend Michael, he made this especially for my 1 year journey to South East Asia.
On the 12th of November 2001 my journey starts; I'll leave from Brussels to London and then off to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

I wanted to travel for a long period for so long, and now finally the time is there! The region I chose is, ofcourse, Asia.
I've been there for 3 times already (Thailand mostly) and I just love it there! The beautiful nature, the friendly people, the most delicious food, and yes... also because it's cheap comparing to other continents.

I plan to stay for just a few weeks in Malaysia and then I'll go to Thailand, the island of Ko Phanang.
This is infamous for it's fullmoonparties, so I probably won't do much else besides laying on the beach and party all night.
After that the cultural journey starts, travelling in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and maybe some more countries if I feel like it.
I would love to go to Indonesia, but the time isn't right now, I hope that this will change in the time I'm in SEA.

I quit my job as an managementassistent at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam (you know, with the Nightwatch from Rembrandt) just to discover more of the world (SEA), get to know myself even better and also because I can use a big break right now from the 'normal' live. By the way, I'm from the Netherlands...

With this website I want to show the people at home where I am and how I'm doing, and to all the other people that will visit this site.
When I was planning this trip I had a lot of help from other peoples experiences, so maybe I can help you a bit as well. Any comments are welcome and ofcourse also the good tips and ideas!
