What My Two Dear Special Friends Mean To Me
It was November 2001 when I came to CC. I didn't know why or how I got there but I soon knew it was meant for me to be there. I met several people there but there was one special man that impressed me with his concern and thoughtfulness he had for all the women in the room. He would never let us run ourselves down or say that we were not smart enough to do something. Instead he would be so encouraging and telling us that we could do anything we wanted. That special man was Titan2Hard and later I would learn that his name was Jeremy. When he was in CC there was always so much laughter and he would serenade us with his wonderful talent of singing. We may not have heard his voice but could tell from the lyrics of the songs he chose that he was singing to all of us. We would share many laughs. In February 2002. Jeremy introduced the love of his life to us and announced that he and Shawna were engaged. Shawna is such a loving person and I could tell immediately that they were so much in love. All it took was watching them talk to each other in CC to see how much there were in tune with each other saying the same things at the same time. It did not take me long to find out that Shawna and I would become very close friends. She became the person that was a sister to me. We could talk about anything. As time went on, Jeremy, Shawna and I were forming a very special bond and eventually even "adopted" each other. I gained a brother and a sister-in-law. The three of us were learning what true friends really were. I never knew it was possible to meet someone on the internet that would have such an effect on your life as I have with Jeremy and Shawna. We shared good times and bad times and we were always there for each other.to pick one another up when we were down. We learned that if we said things that hurt each other and talked about them that our friendship would survive. We certainly knew that God was part of our lives and talked about that all the time. We shared our love of God, our families and music along with many other things. Our families were also a very important part of our lives and we felt that we were part of each other's family. One cannot imagine the joy and happiness that the three of us have shared with one another. We would do anything for each other. That is the meaning of TRUE friends. When we played games, we could always hear the laughter in the room with the silly things that would be said. I can only say that Jeremy and Shawna have always shown me understanding, compassion and a love that only true dear special friends can find. It was God that brought us together and I will always believe that. It has been the close bond that we have that has helped Shawna and me through the last several months. We will be together after we leave this earth. I love you Jeremy and Shawna and always will forever and ever. Your forever SIB, Linda. |
