This is the swatch below that I made up by picking out 5 colours from flower image above.



Using all of the colours from the swatch above, I made the backgound in PSP 100 x 100 pixels. Using various filters, and playing around with the effects came up with what you see as my background.



Using just two of the colour from the swatch I made a gradient swirl in PSP 100x100 pixels, again this works perfectly to seperate the background with a different texture. I had not made a graident before and this is the link to the tutorial I used, Cursed Creations ,gradients are ideal to use for seperating the background with different textures and colours. I used Eye Candie 3 plug in to give me the swirl effect.





Finally to finish the page off, I used a plain tile with the lightest shade from the swatch. Plain or very faint pattern tiles are best to use when you are placing text on a page, this makes it much easier to read. This tile I made in Paint Shop Pro 7 as all the other tiles, 100 x100 pixels, Then made it seamless, which again is someting I have never done before, I used Simple Filters Quick Tile.
