My name is Linda Monroe. I am a kindergarten teacher in Columbus,Ga. I enjoy creating and implementing stimulating and engaging practices in my kindergarten classroom. 2009-2010 marks my 8th year as a kindergarten teacher. I really enjoy teaching! I like seeing the "light bulbs go on" and helping children to have "A-Ha" moments. Our class motto is,
"Can we do it? Yes we can."
My goal is for my students to have a happy kindergarten experience. I want them to learn the skills needed to progress to first grade and MORE. As a school-family team we will work together to make that happen.

Most of the time I feel like I live at school! In truth, I live in Harris County Georgia with my husband, daughter Tatum, and son Mason. Tatum is 14 and a Freshman in High School. Mason is 11 and in the 6th grade. |

We have two dogs, a 10 year old golden retriever named Belle and a 1 1/2 year old vizsla named Sasha. |

Though I have taught 5th, 2nd, and Pre-School; I love Kindergarten! I enjoy the childrens' enthusiasm for learning at this age. They like school and their teacher in most cases. |

I don't have one favorite. My favorite collection of stories is The Gingerbread Man and other similar tales. |

I enjoy baking, sewing, reading, and traveling. As a family we also enjoy relaxing at Lake Martin and spending time at Callaway Gardens. |

I've wanted to teach since I was a little girl. I used to play school with my younger sisters. I enjoy helping people learn new things or in some cases, learn old things in new ways. |
