John Morris, Sr. was born in Edgecombe Co., SC. He is the one that migrated to Darlington District, SC sometime around 1805. There is a January 1806 deed in Darlington County where he purchased land from Benjamin Brown. Equity Record #235 of a 1828 lawsuit naming his sons.
