6. John Whyde REAVIS ⁽¹⁾ was born on 26 Jul 1877 in Princeton, Gibson Co., IN.⁽²⁾ He died on 26 Nov 1932 in Wharton, Wharton Co., TX.⁽³⁾ He was buried in Wharton, TX.⁽⁴⁾ He was an Engineer on rice farms in Texas. He also a master mechanic, chief engineer of a sugar mill, carpenter, cabinet maker and Superintendent of Water for Wharton, Texas. He made inlaid tables to raffle and wardrobe closets. I have one of his tables. He was Baptist. He was married to Mary Ellen MILLER on 4 May 1903 in Welsh, Calcasieu Parish, LA.⁽⁵⁾ They met on a train as she was going back to a sales job in a department store in Memphis, TN.

7. Mary Ellen MILLER ⁽⁶⁾ was born on 12 Sep 1880 in China Grove Plantation, Merrick, Simmesport, Pointe Coupee Pa, LA. ⁽⁷⁾ She died on 31 Oct 1967 in Industry, Los Angeles, CA. ⁽⁸⁾ She was buried in Inglewood, CA. Marriage performed by Samuel Blackford Pierce. Children were:

i. Reginald Whyde REAVIS was born on 21 Nov 1904 in Wharton, Wharton Co., TX. ⁽⁹⁾ He died on 21 Oct 1972 in Beaverton, OR.

iv. Ellen Inez REAVIS was born on 19 Mar 1910 in Cottonport, LA. She died on 6 Mar 1988 in Santa Monica, Los Angeles Co., CA.
v. John Foster REAVIS was born on 28 May 1912 in Wharton, Wharton Co., TX. He died on 2 Jan 1958 in Santa Monica, Los Angeles Co., CA.
vi. Billie Miller REAVIS was born on 3 Nov 1914 in Wharton, Wharton Co., TX. He died on 19 Jul 1988 in St. Johns, SC.
