22. Robert ALLAN was born in Scotland. He was reported to be very proud of his "blue blood" from Scottish nobility.

Dove Maltsberger says, "His brother, John Allen, came ove and settled n Boston and was the one who adopted Edgar Allen Poe. He is said to have been the only family member ever mentioned since the family disapproved of the marriage. He was married to STEWART/STUART. The Allan family was displeased with the marriage so they camt to America and never spoke to their families again.
