I did not know you are a Firefighter. I served in Vietnam in 1970 in a sister unit with your nephew. I also served as a Paramedic and volunteer firefighter in north Alabama. I was the Capt. of the medic unit since I was the only Paramedic in our unit. The rest of the guys were EMTs. Great to talk with a brother (oops!) sister firefighter. Great site. I am in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Really impressive Linda. Sometimes the people on the smaller Dept.'s have more spirit than bigger Dept.'s paid/vol.. I'm at City of Miami Fire Rescue. 12 Sta. 2 Aerials, 4 Quints, 14 pumpers, 14 rescues, 10 squads, about another 30 various fire vehicles, nd a little over 600 Firefighters total.We average about 80,000 runs a year.
