Al is a builder - well he was, until he got laid off. Bet sells trainers. Al spends hours in his shed painting. Bet spends hours entering competitions in magazines. Neither has any faith in the other. Until one day, Bet wins 'A Romantic Break in Paris'.

Then...Bet discovers she suffers from seasickness. Al discovers the buffet on the ferry. Bet discovers the joys of cross channel disco dancing, Al discovers his wife smells of sick. Bet discovers the red light district. Al discovers the Louvre. They also discover a lot about each other.
