I told you about William Alexander Ranne and his wife Mary A (Bridgers) Ranne on the Genealogy page. I found that Mary and her dad played a part in the settling and Independence of Texas from Mexico. William B Bridgers, Mary's father and her mother Cynthia Talbot Ross came to Texas with Stephen F Austin's Old Three Hundred to settle the Mexican land in Texas in turn received leagues of land. He and Cynthia had 3 daughter then she died. He later sold and bought land until he settled in Fayette County near Lyons Station. He married a widow, Eliza (Lyons) Tribble. They had 6 more children. He fought for Texas Independence. He was a Hat Maker, by trade when he came to Texas. He was a land owner/trader, Justice of the Peace and a Postmaster. Mary was 12 year old girl when she helped carry her younger sisters in the Runaway Scrape. We dedicated a Texas Historical Commission marker for William B. Bridgers in October 2001 at the Lyons Plot of the Schulenburg City Cemetery in Schulenburg, TX (once Lyons Station) . William Alexander Family Home Page Family Tree Maker provided this public site for me to post a Family Home Page so I posted two. The William Alexander Ranne Family home page is the most recent. It is public so it will not have any birth, death and marriage dates of living family members for security reasons. I am also inquiring for help from anyone connected with this family. Compared to this site, it is easier to find the relatives under Index. It has dates but notes on all that have died. This site is easy to print out what you want. On the Outline Descendent Tree - (Immigrant) Ranne, you will find all the dates but I do not think it prints all out correctly. I have posted and am posting a few of the old photos of the main roots of our family. Check it out and let me know what you think.
