We have two Pets: Brutus Noland Ryan Hass, a Chihuahua, that is more like another child that a pet. He is Danny's shadow. We have had him since 1990. Miss Kitty is my cat that adopted us in 1994. She is her own cat but she is more attentive to me. In year 2001 right after September 11th, on October 1st it was literally raining cats and dogs in La Grange, well maybe only kittens. Danny looked out and this very little kitten was trying to cross the busy small town main street. It almost was hit by two cars. He got his umbrella and went out after her and rescued her just as the water was carrying her towards the drain. She is was so small she fit in the palm of our hand. We took her home and fed her and now we have another family member. Her name is Tara short for Terror because of the terror she must have felt in the rain and the cars. This name will also date her for us since she came to us shortly after that horrible terrorist attack of our USA.
