Are you intimidated by wild game because of that gamey taste? That gamey taste is what most people like about wild game. It might take a few times to get used to it, just like other foods you've grown to like. A lot of people look forward to the different flavor of game because it's a change from the monotony of their everyday meat. If you do not like the gamey taste, there are ways to minimize the flavor. My mother used to marinate venison in Tang and then cook it until it died all over again. She had the right idea of using an acid to break it down(Tang?), but it sure didn't improve the flavor. Bless her though---she meant well. Since then, I've learned to love venison by learning the proper way to prepare and cook it.
