Teddy bears and rocking chairs
Are among my favorite things
Cookie jars and twinkling stars
And robins in the spring.
Wild flowers and April showers
Soft grass beneath my feet
Kittens romping in the hay
And ice cream cones for treats.
Country friends and cozy dens
Naps in the afternoon
Bible school songs to sing
And Iris in full bloom
Golden corn and autumn leaves
A bright full harvest moon
Roasting marshmallows, a cozy fire
And singing a simple tune
Candlelight on cold winter nights
A phone call from a friend
Cinnamon smells and jingle bells
Granny's afghan to snuggle in.
Simple things are favorite things
Gifts from God above
Sent to all here on earth
To cherish and to love.
