My precious little one - you are on
my mind today-
There are so many thing's I really
need to say.
The day you were born- was a
bittersweet day for me-
Thou I loved you very much, I
had to set you free.
I had to allow you a better life
than I could afford to give-
A chance for a good future - a chance
for you to live!
I picture you lying in your bed
with your little teddy bear-
Covers up around your head-
red ribbons in your hair.
I wonder if you're happy, honey-
are you safe from harm?
Oh God , how I would love to just
hold you in my arms!
See the face that I have pictured
deep within my heart-
Touch the little girl of mine - let
no one break us apart!
How I miss you, my sweet baby -
How I think of you!
I wish I could be a part of every
thing you do.
Are your eyes still as bright
as they were years ago?
Do you dance in the sunshine-
Play in the snow?
Do you watch Blues Clues or do
you like Sesame Street?
What are your favorite toys-
What do you like to eat?
Know that all my life I will hold you
close to me-
No matter where the road leads
there you will be.
I will always love you - always
see your loving face-
In every little girl I see you
will be in her place.
