Walls
We sit at the dinner table with nothing to say- We casually talk about each of our days. We eat in silence as the clock ticks overhead- And you stare at the paper you've already read. When did the walls come that surround your heart? When did you build them? When did you start? I only wish that when you looked at me- You saw all the love there you used to see.
How can I tear them down- You've built your walls so strong. As the room echos the silence- I wonder what I've done wrong. Dishes finished - you sit and stare at the t.v.- What I would give if you would just turn and look at me! I look out the window as the day turns into night- And I wonder what I could do to make everything allright. You've built your walls so well- and you won't let me through- So I cry here in the darkness- and keep on loving you...........
