I'm Sorry Mom
I sit here in this alley..so cold and all alone- Mom, I've missed you so much since I've been gone. A silly fight, I didn't listen, I just grab some clothes and ran away- Six months later I'm sitting here with so much I'd like to say.
Will you take me back Mom, will you be happy to see me now- Will you hug and kiss me , or has time changed things somehow? Mom, I was so stupid to even think of leaving you- I wonder if you still think of me- do you still miss me too?
I thought I could make it - be free from your silly rules- Be free from your ever watchful eye- Mom, I've been such a fool! Out in the real world there's nothing but heartache- Everyone's out to get you - no give and take.
With tears flowing down my face, I find a telephone- I'm praying as I dial , Oh Mom, just please be home! I hear your voice so loud an clear, and I'm lost for words to say- My tears come, and I can't speak, all I can do is pray.
You say my name and in your voice I hear the love still there- God must have told you it was me - Oh, Mom do you still care? I softly whisper " Mom , Come get me,", I Love you so much.. As I hang up the phone and wait for you I know I felt an angels touch!
