As she looks out the window, evening
shadows cloud her view-
Watching you , Mom, I think back to
all we've been through.
The smell of food coming from the kitchen-
The gentleness of your touch-
All this and more , Mom , is what I will
miss so much!
All the years of sacrificing to give
your kids the best-
You worked so hard through the years, Mom,
with very little rest!
You know I must leave soon Mom, but its
so hard for me-
I know if I only close my eyes
your face I'll see.
I'm taking with me the values you instilled
in my heart-
You will always be with me , Mom, even when
we're apart!
You have all your childrens adoration and
their undying LOVE-
We always knew that our Mom was and angel
sent from above.
Mom dry your eyes and look around you-
we all love you so-
And don't think for one minute its easy
for me to go!
Your love for me will follow me whereever
my steps may roam-
Mom, we thank God for you -
This will always be my home!
