I didn't mean to fall in love - I told
my heart not too-
Sometimes it does about what
it wants too.
We started talking just as friends-
thats all it could be-
How could I possibly think that
you could love me?
Sometimes our hearts don't listen-
friends turn into much more-
Common sense and logic go
flying out the door!
I won't tell you my feelings - I'll
keep them hidden away-
I try to be so careful of what I
do and say.
I know you can never hold me
or kiss me tenderly-
But I have my dreams, hon- you
can't take that from me.
I can never be your lover - share
a night of total bliss-
But I would be happy with just a
touch...a tender kiss.
I keep my feelings in the shadows-
hoping you won't see-
The feelings that I have for you-
I know they can not be.
I spend my day's longing for just
a hint from you-
That maybe you may feel the
same as I do.
In my mind I have touched you- held
tightly to your hand-
If only you could love me too-
but you wouldn't understand.
