I know I'm just a baby - God has'nt
finished with me-
I haven't even been born..thou
I'd like to be!
I know you are very young-
you don't know what to do-
You are scared and hurting-
The world looks down on you.
You are thinking of hurting me-
of ending my small life-
Because your boyfriend has left you-
You wanted to be his wife!
I know I cannot defend my self-
I'm too small , you see-
But I'd like a chance in this world-
to just be ME.
I'd like to run and play- I'd like
to dance and sing-
I'd like a chance to learn and grow-
Play on the tree swing.
I'd like to feel the suns bright rays
burning on my face-
I want to learn about Jesus-
and God's great saving grace.
Don't deny me all these things-
Mommy, I want to live!
Don't let the doctors take me away-
I have so much love to give!
Give me a chance to hug you Mommy-
kiss you every day-
Maybe I can even help take some
of your pain away!
Give me a chance to live and grow-
one day become a man-
Oh, please dear God in heaven - make
Mommy understand!
