Today my daughter takes you by the hand- and
you shall be as one-
This is the moment you have both waited for-
Your lives have just begun!
I wish you both years of happiness-
I wish you joy untold-
As you make your wedding vows today -
To have and to hold.
Give her a smile when she is down - give
her a hundred hugs a day-
Show her that you love her in everything
you do and say.
Give her your strength when she is weak-
Your support when she is strong-
Give her your shoulder when she cries
Turn her dark clouds into a song.
Give her kindness - Give her dignity-
Respect her as your wife-
Let her walk beside you- not behind you-
