What I Would Give
I saw you this morning as you hurried on by- Never stopping to wave, or just say "Hi". You never saw the flowers God sent your way- You hardly ever have a kind word to say.
I saw you this evening as you made your way home- A frown still on your face, another day gone! If I could search inside your heart what would I see- A sad, quiet man - one who's lonely?
What I would give to be in your shoes- To have all those precious minutes you never use. What I would give to enjoy one more day- To just be able to kneel down and pray.
Don't waste the minutes, the seconds, the hours- Take a little time to stop and smell the flowers. The minutes of our lives are slipping away- Before we know it we have lost another day.
What I would give to simply reach out my hand- In Love and Peace to all my fellowman. Cherish every minute - Its all yours alone- You can't retrieve it once it is gone!
I sit on my porch and the world I can see- Sitting back in the shadows.. My wheelchair and me!
