Let me tell you about a story
that I heard today-
About a family torn apart and
robbed of yesterday.
Words were said - hearts were
hurt - many were the tears.
The day's turned into months-
The months turned into years.
Not another word was spoken-
Each went their separate ways.
Lost were the hugs and kisses-
Gone were the happy days!
I'm asking you to mend those broken
fences - dry away the tears.
Pick up the telephone, my friend,
Dissolve all those wasted years!
Precious minutes are passing -
Please don't delay!
I'm speaking to YOU, my friend-
Make that call today!
Send the roses, write that letter,
touch that longing heart-
Just one word from you could
mend all those years apart.
Don't wait intill it's too late to send
your sister a rose bouquet-
Don't let yesterdays sorrows blind you
of what you can do today!
Give your brother a tender hug - tell
your Mother " I love you-
Don't live in heartache and pain
all your life through!
God has not promised us tomorrow
So please don't wait ' till then-
Don't put it off - - Do it now- -
I'm speaking to YOU , my friend!
