Badminton

Badminton Tip:

Practice your accuracy. It is vital that your serve is accurate in order to anticipate the reply. A serve aimed in to the tramlines will encourage the straight push as a reply, but a serve landing a foot inside the tramlines is not.

Research has shown that elite performers experience the same anxiety as lesser performers, but are able to control at crucial moment. So how senior internationals cope with the pressure points...

Ian Sullian:

I stick with my strongest serve and try to remember the pressure is not on me but my opponent.
Top tip: take a deep breath, take your time and set yourself.

Donna Kellogg:

If I am feeling confident I would change my serve, perhaps try a flick or serve out wide to surprise my opponent.
Top tip: if in doubt serve low to the T.

Joanne Davies:

I would stick to the serve that works best for me and I would also tell my partner where I was intending to serve.
Top Tip: don't try anything daft.
