| Judges Conformation Linda Collins Linda's career in dogs began as a teenage, working in a German Shepherd kennel. She handled many dogs for local BSD breeders including some of the early imports, and has also handled Rough Collies, Giant Schnauzers, Great Dane, and Bernese Mountain Dogs to ticket wins. Her kennel DOMBURG was founded in the late '80's and since then Linda has bred and/or owned 27 Champions (21 UK and 6 overseas). DOMBURG has also had many Top Dogs, Top Sires, Top Broods, Top Puppies, and Group winners and placements, cinluding the Crufts Pastoral Group Winer '05 - Ch. Domburg Reve d'Amour. DOMBURG was the Top Breeder in 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, making DOMBURG the U.K's most successful Tervueren Kennel ever. In addition to judging in Great Britain, Linda has judged the BSD, Australia, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland. Anne-Marie Lipscombe Anne-Marie has owned Belgian Shepherd Dogs (Groenendael) for over 25 years. With husband Brian they breed under the BECANBRIE affix, importing several dogs from Europe and exporting semen abroad. As an active member of the BSD Association of Great Britain she has previously served on the committee for many years undertaking various roles, including chairman. Anne-Marie is very experienced in the show ring, having successfully handled both her own and other dogs. She formed and ran a thriving ring craft club for over 20 years and has been judging since 1990. With a broad experience of both the UKC and International dog scene Anne-Marie has exhibited, judged, and visited many dog shows in the UK, Europe, and North America. Sweepstakes Cathi Blackburn Lisa Kingsley Lisa bought her first Belgian Belgian Shepherd, a Tervuren, in 1972 while in college. Since then she has shown Tervuren and Groenendael in conformation, obedience, and herding. She also trains her dogs in agility and tracking. 20 years ago, Lisa and her husband, Gale, started a small breeding program under the kennel name of Fastbreak. They have bred primarily Tervuren, although last year they bred their first Groenendael litter. Their passion for the Belgian Shepherd has led them to trips to England and continental Europe, where they have enjoyed meeting the people and exploring the countries, in addition to attending shows and visiting kennels. In her professional life, Lisa is a school psychologist, working with children from preschool through high school. Agility Kim Smith I have been in agility for almost 10 years. My first dog was a puppy mill dog (didn't know any better) and she was so shy, someone said that I should get her into agility. Well, that worked very well, she got her ACHX in no time, and I got the bug. My next dog went from his first leg in AG1 to his ACHX in 364 days. Admittedly we went to a lot of shows, but he loved it and so did I. Someone asked me, "Why don't you become a judge?" That's all it took for me to get to thinking that I would really like to travel and get paid. Sure, the pay is minimal, but I get to play on the weekend. I have been from Washington State to Virginia, from California to Pennsylvania, and lots of places inbetween. I have met some really nice people along the way. I would not trade my opportunity for all the $$ in the world. OK, maybe I would think about that, but I can't say when I have had a better time than when I am out in the ring watching others have fun and knowing I am helping someone get their title. Of course, they have to work at it, I don't give anything away. But I am seeing better handling in the ring today than I did 10 years ago. I have 6 Shelties currently and 4 of them have an agility title. I have put agility titles on 5 dogs, obedience titles on 2, and conformation titles on 3. I have agility titles in UKC, AKC, and CPE I don't know what the next 10 or so years have in store for me, but you can bet you will see me out there right along with othes who have fun with agility, whether we Q or not.
