Originally from the Hawkes Bay area of New Zealand, Lincoln Renall graduated from Massey University. Upon receiving his Bachelor of Technology Degree in Product Design he relocated to London, England. After traveling extensively he returned to Christchurch, New Zealand and employment as a computer engineer. He continues to work as a freelance artist and sculptor.

From the highly abstract to the representational. Lincoln followed the time honored precedent of touring Europe to draw inspiration from the Old Masters. A primary source of inspiration coming from abstract and surreal artists such as Salvador Dali.

The majority of his paintings and sclptures have been completed in the past two years. Lincoln is entirely self taught in oils, translating some of his traditional design skills into this media. This combines to produce works which have a certain 'rawness' to them.

Lincoln is also experimenting with computer based design, from web design to computer modelling and animation in 'Maya'.
