Okay, here are the images from the Manifold installation. If you are a member of Lincoln Lover's Line on Yahoo!, then you have read my Lessons Learned post regarding this job.

This is the money shot of the new 3766 manifold under a 1406 carb. It took longer than expected to get this thing in.

Here is the left-hand shot, note missing EGR valve.

This is the right side of the engine. This gives you a better view of the missing EGR and the 1985 EGR plate. The bracket at the port is an ACE Hardware .69 cent special. Notice the length of the throat on the plate, how it covers up one of the vaccuum ports. This was initially a problem, as we didn't have a place to mount the brake line. We found the port on the backside of the manifold, solving the problem. The plug you see here was included with the manifold. Also notice the screw plugging the old EGR valve's vaccuum line! This will be taken care of shortly.

This is me, putting the heavy steel to work prying that old manifold off. It was a real bastard, but with some hard tapping with the hammer and the quality Home Depot crowbar, off it came. Sorry the image is dark.

This is me, about to beat the shit out of the EGR valve with a a 1 1/4" boxend! Actually, this is a staged photo. The job was finished, engine re-timed, all lines capped and tight. The photo does reflect the frustration we had during various stages of the installation. As I said, I give this job Three Busted Knuckles out of Five, minor Cluster Fuck.
