Look What I Got
    At the Con!

The Miko went to Neko Con thinking it would be just like any other con. You know, dress in impromptu bondage gear, get lead around on a leash, cosplay as a yaoi bishounen couple with your friend....

But something wonderful happened!

While wandering around glomping all the kawaii bishounen, she met a most unusual thing in the cosplay world: a male Duo. Thats right, honest to Shinigami male. Of course she had to glomp him, with that cute spiked priest collar and slightly modified (and much the nicer for it) pants. Both of them being dressed as Duo provided a nice opportunity for conversation and the Miko (not being the least bit shy at cons) insisted that he promise to make an appearance at the dance later that evening. To her shock and extreme happiness, he did indeed show up. After being forced to leave her riding crop and handcuffs at the door, the Miko accompanied him and a few others to the dance. We wont go into the fact that the Miko cant dance to save her life...

After a few minutes of rather pointless swaying and yelling names over the loud music, a group of four sought the quiet of the outdoors. While making idle conversation about her fanworks (see, not shy at all at cons!) the Miko spent quite a while not-staring at the person she had mentally dubbed Duo-kun.

The night proceeded and the Miko was thrilled as Duo-kun agreed to lead her around by her leash. What more could an evil yaoi writer ask for? Pictures!

Around four in the morning, the Miko finally gave up and decided to go to bed. She said goodnight, using all her will power not to jump her new friend durring the oh-so-long two floor elevator ride. Goodbyes were said and promises of the next morning were made.
Sunday mornings are sad and hectic times for con goers. Trying to move all your new plushies out of your weekend home, trying to sort out exactly whose Nuriko pin that is laying on the floor, saying goodbye to friends youve made, and dividing out the cost of room damage can be disorienting to say the least. Having packed her car and shuffled her friends to it, the Miko was dissapointed that she had not seen Duo-kun at all.

Going back into the hotel to collect her recently-purchased drawing from a lovely lady with purple hair, she spotted him.Normal things were said and the Miko was going to be on her way when fate took actiopn and she once again met with the handsome bishounen. Making a flimsy excuse along the lines of  I saw you, now I have to glomp you the Miko did glomp him again. Dragging Duo-kun with her to the dealers room, the Miko noticed he had a rubber band in his hair. All Miko know that bishounen can not hurt their hair with such things as rubber bands. So, she made him give it to her in exchange for her own purple hair band. Yes...for his own good...that's it...

But alas, soon they had to part. After a touching hug in the hallway, and several words that led the Miko to smile exceedingly and jump up and down happily, they were seperated. She took the rubber band home to add to her "things I got at the con" collection and thought the fairy tale was over.

Constantly people promise to e-mail you at cons and most never do. However, a week or so later, the Miko opened her mailbox ([email protected]) to find an e-mail from Duo-kun. The two began to e-mail each other and found they had lots more in common than an appreciation for Duo Maxwell.

'Duo-kun' turned out to be more than pretty as well. He was smart and kind, and not afraid of yaoi in  the least! This meant one thing, the Miko was going to keep him. In short, they fell in love. Now the Miko has her very own bishounen and, as you see, quite a story to tell. And when people ask her what she got at Neko Con, she will answer Duo-kun!

Whether facilitated by fate, destiny, or the god of yaoi bliss, it all worked out.

And as long as her Duo-kun does not get angry at his evil Miko for telling all of this to perfect strangers...they will live happily ever after.
