| Name: Lina Inverse (Japanese Rina) Sex: female Age: Unknown, said to be around 17 or 18 Home: Zefielia Relatives: Her sister Luna Inverse (older and stronger, Lina's biggest fear) Voice actors: Japan: Hayashibara Megumi and Lisa Ortiz (or Cynthia Martinez in the OVAs) Lina (Rina) Inverse is also known sometimes as the "dragon-spooker", (which means that dragons retreat out of pure disgust), and bandit-killer. She specializes in black magic, which ruby-eyed shabranigdo rules. Lina goes off in search of money and power. One fateful day while she is traveling, she runs into a gang called the Dragon-Fangs. After casting a mere fireball and blowing up the joint, she helps herself to, what she considers, a little bit of their treasure. Unfortunatley, she gets hold of the Orihalcon (sp is most likley WAY off) Statue, or a spirit beaken. Why so unfortunate you ask? Because the chimera (I really don't think zel's a monster...do you?) Zelgadis is working for Rezo, the red priest. Some of the bandits survived, seaking revenge on their bosses death. Then, out of what seems like nowhere, Gourry, a travelling mercinary shows up and "saves" Lina from the bandits. After mistaking Lina for a "little girl", they head off on a long adventure. Eventually, they meet up with new allies, such as Zelgadiss, Amelia, and Sylphiel. |
