It should be obvious where this piece is from.
This is a complicated
piece that may not sound like much at first, but reveals more and
more intricacies upon further listening. Upon analysis, it rivals
the introductory piece in complexity. The Amiga version of this piece
uses voice samples. On FM, it is all but impossible to achieve any
kind of voice-like sound. What is used instead is a bright, scattery
kind of waveform which is also used in many other pieces in the game.
The resulting FM sound is quite unique, basically a conglomerate of notes
all smeared together due to the nature of the waveform as well as the nature
of the music itself.. In fact, it is not clear when examining the
composition whether or not seperate voices exist at all. This is
interesting because the impression of a fairly distinct melody (and perhaps
even a bass line) is heard even though the listener may have trouble
figuring out the exact notes of the musical lines.
