| On the 15th & 16th of November, four prominent golfers were in Singapore to grace the greens of the Tanah Merah Country Club to compete for over US$180 000! The four players were Annika Sorenstam(Women's No. 1 golfer), Retief Goosen from S.Africa ( Current ranking : 7), the colourful and amusing Jesper Parnevik & our own Sg No.1 Lam Chih Bing. Retief Goosen added yet another title to a successful season by defending his lead by winning 12 skins ( US$130,000) to finish ahead of Annika (US$35 000). Local player Chih Bing fortunately won the last hole with a monster 30-footer birdie to win US$ 15 000. Despite managing a couple of birdies himself, Parnevik was left empty-handed with no skins to his name. The Swede joked, " I'll probably need a few more Tiger Beers after the spanking I got from Annika." |
