| ���� In order to become a special educational teacher I have to get an education license. For most states I would also have to a master's degree; however there are some states that offer alternatives in order to attract people to this field. The need for special educational teacher is at a high. There will always be a job open in this field. The nature of the work can be very difficult depending on what level someone would like to teach on. There are a select few special educational teachers that teach children with a mental retardation. It?s growing more popular now that special education teachers and general teachers group together to try to teach all the children the same material so all the children will have a equal education in life. The pay of this job depends on which level of school someone would like want to teach in. For most elementary schools the standard pay is $42, 690, for middle schools the standard pay is $41,350, and in high school the standard pay is $44,130. Most schools offer teachers extra pay during the summer. They can work summers or help coach sports and also help other students after school. The outlook for special education teachers seems very good. Employment will increase into the year 2012. Although there has been a slow down in enrollment there will still be a need to have extra teachers on hand just in case. There may be some difficulty to become a teacher where you live though because there may not be a great need for them in that area.
