| Falling in Love | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Writing can be compared to falling in love. Yes, this may sound stranger like something out of a Disney movie, but its true if I truly think about it. I am not saying that someone will feel a deep passion for writing like when it is felt when falling in love for the first time. However, showing the similarities may make someone realize that I am not as crazy as I sound. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| First in the writing process, brainstorming takes place. This is when the writer puts down all the ideas for the paper and then one- by-one eliminates the ideas that may not be as well processed and others. This is just like falling in love. Someone that would want to find love does the same thing. They carefully think of what they want in their relationship then slower get rid of those that may not make sense or are too hard to deal with. Finally, they come to a conclusion of what they want and then they start finding it, or in the writing process they starting writing the paper. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| The next part of the writing process is writing the rough draft. This is where the writer starts the essay and trys to be careful not too make to many mistakes and tries to have everything come together and make sense. Just like falling in love, the rough draft would be finding that special someone. They try to find the best way to mesh and have things make sense within them. If it seems to not work out, just like in a rough draft, they can start over until they find the perfect way for it all to make sense. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Next, editing comes in to play. In the writing process, a peer of the writer sits down and reads the paper to make sure that it makes sense and that there are no grammar or sentence errors. The reader will tell the writer what she should do to make the paper better or the reader may tell the writer that everything seems right and nothing should be changed. Just like falling in love, friends are like the peer editors. They tell what they think of the relationship and what could be fixed it make it better. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Lastly, the final part of the writing process is the final draft.This is where the writer makes the last of the corrections and tries to make the paper as perfect as possible, with no mistakes. Just like falling in love, the final draft shows that they are in love with that person. They have done everything to make it perfect, and are satisfied with the end results. Turning the paper in knowing that everything is right is just like asking that person to marry you. There are no regrets everything is right and it all meshes to make sense. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| So now it all makes sense. Well at least I hope it did. Falling in love is like the writing process. Having everything just right in a paper and having everything just right in a relationship. Both share the ideas of perfection, or at least one is the result of something wonderful and meaningful. | ||||||||||||||||||||
