Here's the things i love to do best:
TRAVEL: I enjoy
heading overseas - so far i've ventured to New Zealand, Fiji
(x2), Los Angeles, Hawaii (x2), Hong Kong, and most recently
(meaning 1997) took a 6 week holiday around the United Kingdom,
covering England, Scotland and Wales. Favourite towns: York,
London.
SPORTS: Every
Tuesday Night you'll find me sweating it out on the Volleyball
court. I am also a season ticket holder for my 8th season with
the Brisbane Bullets (NBL for all u non-sports fans) and eagerly
waiting the start of my second season of the Brisbane Lions (AFL)
ENTERTAINMENT: It's
very rare you'll ever find me without the stereo blasting. I
enjoy a variety of music styles.. pop/rock/dance/alternative... i
like a bit of a mix. Current favourite bands include Savage
Garden, The Offspring, Matchbox 20, Greenday. My radio switches
from B105 to Triple M, depending on the time of day. For movies..
anything funny will do (think american pie, road trip genre).
Although i don't watch a lot of television, a few of my
favourites include - South Park, The Simpsons, Survivor, Sex in
the City, Spin City, The Panel, Blue Heelers.
HANGING OUT: During
the day i cruise around the Eagle Street end of the city, in
search for the perfect sandwich and icecream. Every couple of
weeks, there'll be a basketball or footy game to attend,
depending on the season.. Favourite night spots in town would be
Arouras, Fridays.. or wherever we end up! An occaisonal
restaurant visit is also good. And writing about where i hang out
would not be the same if i didn't say a big hello to my friends
at number 14!
FASHION & BEAUTY:
Pretty self-explanitry here.. I'm a self-confessed
shopaholic, but don't hold it against me.. i just love to look
great!
HITTING THE BEACH: Nothing
more relaxing than a sunday coast-trip. Throw in a bit of
swimming, some tanning, and heaps of icecream (lychee and
jakfruit please!). The only place where fish tastes good. From
Currumbin to Coolangatta, that's where i'll be.. and don't forget
a Yatla pie on the way home!
COLLECTING CHINA: No!
Antiques just aren't for the old. Still a fairly new interest, i
have a small collection of Limoges (this comes from France)...
this is a dark blue colour, with gold print.... My most prized
piece is a small table and chair setting, courtesy of e-bay)
READING: Give me a
good book, and i won't surface for a week... Humours local
stories are a favourite.. as well as Anne Rices Vampire
Chronicles, John Grishams legal tales (particularly the older
ones).. and call me tasteless but i can't put down any of Jackie
Collins's books.
THE NET: This is
where you'll find me:
