WALKING IN THE FOREST DAY
after leaving Violet City are three kids; a twelve year old spiky blue haired, green eyes girl wearing pink long pants and bright red short-sleeved blouse. A nine year old black haired girl witih pichu beside her, and a thirteen year old boy.
"So, where to now?" the spiky haired girl asks the other two.
"I say, head for the next gym for another badge, Lyla," the nine year old answers.
"Pich," the pichu speaks looking up at Sura.
"That would be Azalea Town, Sura," the boy spoke up.
"Then, on to Azalea Town!" Sura exclaims.
"Pi!" Pichu catches on to Sura's excitment at the same time as the girl.
"Azalea Town it is then," Ross declares.
The three continue walking onward. Traipsing throught the trees, Sura, Ross, and Lyla move forward and onward. Wild pokemon are everywhere. The sounds of chirping and squawking of pokemon coming to their ears as they walk. Then another sound comes to their ears. One they don't recognize. Lyla jumps at that sound. It was a howling type of sound.
"What was that?!" Lyla exclaims in fright.
Sura looks around before shrugging her shoulders. Pichu is looking around trying to discover where the howling is coming from. Even pichu had heard it.
"Pi pich chu."
The three young people and the piichu now hear a scream of horror. They look at each other in perplexity. Even pichu is confused. The scream comes again. This time, Sura recognizes it.
"That was someone screaming," Sura said then began running off in the general direction of the scream, pichu following the girl. Lyla and Ross look at each other before going after her.
"Sura?! Wait up!" Lyla and Ross shout out following her.
The three run on until they come to a clearing. The clearing nothing more than a place like a small park with trees all around. To the left there is a small wood bench where the three kids see the twelve year old girl sobbing and crying out for her pokemon. Sura quickly moves over to the other girl.
"Hello? Is there anything wrong? We heard your scream?" Sura asks politely. The girl wearing a pink jumpsuit with a blue blouse under it. She had blue eys and long blond hair fastened at the back of her head.
"My Hoppip is gone!"
Sura's shocked, "how?!"
"Hoppip make excellent weather prediicters. I have a sister who uses Hoppip for just such a thing. She gave me one to raise," the girl began.
Sura, Lyla, and Ross listens to her story politely. When the girl pauses, Sura becomes even more curious.
"And?" Sura asks. The girl reaches up to wipe the tears from her eyes before continuing,
"I was training my Hoppip when an extremely gust of wind took it up, blowing it off away from me. I tried to keep up but it soon blew my poor hoppip farther and farther away."
Sura looks to her friends in pity. She just can't stand someone loosing their pokemon and the look she directs to Lyla and Ross conveyes her determination of helping the girl find her hoppip.
"We'll help you look for your Hoppip..., um?"
"Zara, Zara Turu," the girl responds, "and thank you."
Sura only nods, "you're very welcome."
Sura turns to look at her friends, "I say we let out our pokemon to help in the search? What do you guys think?"
"I think thats a great idea. Let's do it!" Lyla agrees.
"Yeah!" from Ross.
Sura grins taking up her five pokeballs and tossing them up while at the same time shouting,
"Come on out everybody!!!"
Sura's five pokeballs open releasing her chikorita, sentret, pidgey, eevee, and ponyta. Pichu steps forward before the pokemon.
"You too!" Lyla and Ross said together as their pokemon come out of their pokeballs. Lyla's pokemon are HootHoot, Goldeen, Wooper, and Remoraid. Ross' pokemon are Abra, Drowzee, Murkrow, and Natu.
The girl Zara notes the groups of pokemon then at the trainers,
"Thank you."
"Okay, let's split up. Zara, you come with me," Sura decides. Ross and Lyla nod as they and their pokemon each take a different direction leaving Sura, her pokemon, and Zara. Then they move off.
BACK IN THE TREES
some distance from the clearing, a little hoppip comes to a landing.
"Hop pip hop hop ip!"
Landing on the ground, the Hoppip looks around, trying to spot its trainer, to no avail. It begins moving.
"HOp pip," it says sadly.
FAR AHEAD THE HOPPIP
are two people, a male and a female. The female is tall and slim figured with pink hair. The boy is tall with short green hair, handsome too in a freaky way. Both of them are wearing the black uniforms with the red letter R's on the chests. These two people are ANITA and ALEX and they belong to the illustrious Team Rocket.
"The boss's gonna be so mad at us. We haven't stolen a single rare pokemon for him," the female, Anita states the obvious.
"But if we can get that pichu and that chikorita from that twerpy girl, our losing streak would turn around," the male, Alex reminds his partner.
Anita nods in agreement, "yeah that pichu and chikorita are the strongest pokemon we've seen. That ponyta we had was also pretty strong till that girl defeated us."
"Don't worry Anita, we'll get it back," Alex reassures her. "Now, let's eat!"
The two sit down and begin munching on their lunch: their meal in a can.
"I wish we had something more than this," Alex sighs dipping his chopsticks in the can of noodles, eating them.
"We don't have that kind of money. What, after that big mistake with trying to steal that twerpy girl's chikorita and pichu," Anita said. "But we'll get those pokemon and the boss will be so proud of us!"
"Yeah!" Alex exclaims.
A sound comes to their ears at that point.
"What was THAT?!" Anita practically shouts whipping her head around quickly. Alex looks at her, a perplexed look on his face.
"What?"
Anita doesn't answer as she continues to look around. The sound comes again; over her right shoulder.
"Hop pip," the little Hoppip spoke, a tiny bell tinkling as the pokemon moves. Anita notes the little bell collar about the pokemon's neck and a smile appears on her lips. Dropping her can, Anita grabs Alex by the hand causing HIM to drop his can.
"What?!" he asks loudly.
"Look Alex! A Hoppip," Anita exclaims, pointing at the pokemon. A gleam appears in her eyes. "And it belongs to somebody. The boss will be SOOO proud of us ifi we bring him a Hoppip...."
Alex catches the gist of Anita's idea. He smiles at her,
"He'll probably give us bonuses or make us Team Rocket Executives!"
"Let's get that Hoppip!" Anita exclaims.
"Yeah!" Alex declares in agreement. They practically jump to their feet and rush toward the Hoppip, bursting out of the bushes where they had been only seconds earlier.
"Hop? Pip?" Hoppip looks up over at the two Team Rocket members, members running toward it, evil smiles on their faces and laughing.
"Hop!!!" iti shrieks before starting to run.
Tossing her pokeball, Anita shouts out, "oh no you don't! Ryhorn, don't let that Hoppip get away!"
The massive rhino-like pokemon bursts from its pokeball directly in front of Hoppip. Hoppip skids to a stop at the appearance of ryhorn. Ryhorn bellows, stomping its feet in front of Hoppip and grunting.
"Hop? Hop hop hop pip?"
Alex and Anita reach the small pokemon. Anita stands next to her Ryhorn, one hand on its neck. Alex stands next to her, a huge grin on his face and a lock of hair dangling in the center of his forhead.
"Yeah! We got it!!!!" he exclaims. Then he grabs Anita's hands and dance around in jubilation with her.
"Hop!" the Hoppip exclaims before unleahing its cotton sporte attack. Anita, her head turned saw this. Quickly, she jerks her hands out of Alex's to command her ryhorn, "Ryhorn, look out for Hoppip! Use Rock Throw!"
Tyhorn dodges the attack, stomps its hooves and kicking up rocks sending them toward the Hoppip. Anita laughs as her ryhorn's attack causes the Hoppip to squeal in fright and a bit of pain.
"Alex! the special net!" Anita shouts to her partner.
"Right!"
Alex produces the net from somewhere on his person, moving toward the frightened Hoppip, and capturing it in the net. the net closes up, sealing Hoppip inside.
"Hop," Hoppip gave a sad sort of sound.
Anita and Alex jump around in excitement before beginning to move away laughing in joy.
SURA AND ZARA
are moving through the trees, Sura's pokemon are close by as they search for Zara's Hoppip.
"So, why didn't you follow in your sister's footsteps to be a weather predictor when you got your Hoppip?" Sura asks as the two girls continue walking. Zara looks at Sura with a rueful kind of smile.
"I wanted to train my Hoppip to battle. Then battle for gym badges for the Jolhto League."
"Same here. I'm gonna get there and someday soon be a Pokemon Master," Sura responds. Her pichu looks up at Sura where it had been searching,
"Pich."
"Chika."
"Sen tret."
"Eevee."
"Pidge." flying above the girls' heads.
"Neigh." from ponyta.
Sura smiles at her pokemon. Zara is watching and there's a smile at her lips. For, Zara hears the love and caring in Sura's voice when she speaks about pokemon. Zara can tell that Sura has a wonderful bond with her pokemon and that they love her in turn. Zara wonders if she could ever have such a strong bond with her pokemon as Sura does. Sighing, Zara and Sura continue their search for Zara's Hoppip.
SOMETIME LATER
"Pich!" Pichu exclaims running back to Sura and Zara. It seems excited about something. The small electric pokemon runs up to Sura where he stops.
"What is it Pichu?" Sura asks looking down at her pokemon.
"Pich.. Pi pi pi chu!" Pichu says quickly while pointing back the way it had come. Then, the rest of her pokemon come over. Sura looks at Zara. There seems to be a hint of excitement in her green eyes.
"Oh boy! I think pichu and the others found your Hoppip!"
"Really?!" Zara's eyes widen at this news. The pokemon each nod together.
"Pich!"
"Chika!"
"Sen tret!"
"Pidge!"
"Eevee!"
"Neigh!"
"Where is the Hoppip, pichu?" Sura asks all her pokemon though she addresses her pichu.
"Pich!" pichu says leading the two girls forward, into some bushes. Sura parts the bushes a bit, allowing them all to see what's on the other side.
WHAT SURA AND ZARA SEE
at first, there's nothing for the first five seconds. Then, a sound, like two people talking and they're excited about something comes to the two girls' ears. They lean forward, to better hear what's going on.
"The Boss' gonna be sooo proud of us!" a female voice comes to Sura's and Zara's ears.
"He'll probably give us a raise," the male voice answers now.
Sura and Zara look at each other, wondering who these two could be. Sura looks again as the two voices come in to sight. Sura gasps. She knows who it is now.
"What? What is it Sura?" Zara whispers the question to her.
"Team Rocket!" Sura whispers back and steps out of her place of concealment. She sees that Alex is holding a net with a Hoppip trapped inside. Around the hoppip's neck is the bell collar.
"Hoppy!" Zara exclaims on seeing the pokemon. Sura looks at her in shock.
"Thats yours?" she asks pointing at the captured Hoppip. Zara nods, tears in the corner of her eyes.
Sura nods as her and her pokemon step out of the bushes revealing herself to the sight of the two Team Rocket members.
"Stop right there, Team Rocket!"
Alex and Anita stop, looking at the two girls and pokemon, with smirks on their faces.
"Ha ha ha! You have no idea who you're talking to," Alex exclaims first.
"Give Zara back her Hoppip or there's gonna be trouble!" Sura declares.
"Girl, you already got trouble!" Anita exclaims. [Cue the sick Team Rocket music.]
"And now make iti double!" from Alex.
"To infect the world with devastation!"
"And get it ready for integration!"
"To trample the way through truth and love!" from Anita.
"By stomping the might from the stars above!"
Now Alex and Anita stand together, back to back, the net held up in Alex's hands.
"Anita!"
"Alex!"
Amid a background of blue-black, Anita seated sedately on a red letter R and Alex leans against it.
"Team Rocket! Knocking good out at the speed of light!" they exclaim in unison.
[Background back to trees and such], "you better surrender or prepare to fight!" both still.
Now, the sound of a pokeball opening as Hitmonchan appears before the two striking a punching pose and at the same time saying,
"Hitmonchan!"
All through this, Sura had a large sweatdrop at her head as she rolls her eyes.
"Give back that Hoppip!" she exclaims as the motto ends, finally.
"Try and take it!" Anita shouts tossing out a pokeball. "Go Ryhorn!"
On leaving her hand, the pokeball opens up revealing Anita's ryhorn. It bellows and stomps its feet.
"Ryhorn rock slide!" Anita exclaims.
"Pichu thundershock!" Sura shouts.
"Pich!"
Ryhorn bellows loudly, stomping its feet some more as large rocks erupt from the ground coming at Sura's pichu. Pichu's cheek pouches light up.
"Pi!" pichu exclaims and moving forward at a run leaping in the air, lightening encircling its form.
"CHUUUU!"
and releasing the lightening at ryhorn. Ryhorn shakes off the attack but Sura now shouts,
"Chikorita vine whip! Eevee tackle attack!"
Chikorita strikes ryhorn causing it pain. Then eevee runs in, tackling the massive rock pokemon.
"Oh no, you don't! Pinsir Twin Needle!" Alex yells tossing out his pokeball with his pinsir.
Pinsir attacks as small needles coming from its mouth. The needles strike at the pokemon as Anita and Alex cheer that they're winning.
Then, just as things are going they're way, a Drowzee enters the picture with an abra. The abra had telaported Drowzee.
"Drowzee hypnosis!" came a male voice from the right of Sura and Zara. The pokemon's eyes glow a blue color as pinsir and ryhorn fall asleep. Lyla and Ross had come on the scene just in time.
"Ross! Lyla! It's good to see you. Team Rocket's got Zara's Hoppip!" Sura states. There's a smile at her lips too.
"Right!" Ross says nodding his head.
"Then its my turn!" Lyla said. She indicates her Wooper, "Wooper, water gun! Now!"
"Wooper!" Wooper said sending out a stream of water at Team Rocket. The stream hits them, knocking Hoppip from their grasp.
"Hop!" the Hoppip shouts.
"Hoppy! No!" Zara yells, rushing forward to catch the pokemon. Hoppip opens its eyes to see its trainer as she catches it in her arms. Hoppip nuzzles her with a happy sound.
"Okay pichu, give Team Rocket your best thundershock."
"Pich. Piii----CHUUU!"
The thundershock attack hits Team Rocket, sending them blasting off in toi the sky.
SOMETIME LATER
Zara's still cuddling her Hoppip with Lyla, Sura, and Ross looking out. Their pokemon, with the exception of pichu who's perched on Sura's right should, are back in their pokeballs.
"Thank you for saving my Hoppip and I hope you all fulfill your dreams," Zara said smiling at the friends.
"It was no problem. I'm just glad we were able to help you," Sura responds.
Saying their good-byes to Zara, the three heroes walk away.
