Chapter 4

Spiritual World First Battle

MOVING THROUGH THE STREETS

a figure walks. He is carrying a strange staff and has a particular destination in mind. Light from the street strikes him revealing who it is. It is ANUBIS.

At one point, sometime ago, the Ancient did this very same thing but he did not survive. I hope I am up to the task. The Ronin Warriors need to get to the Dynasty. he thinks to himself.

SPIRITUAL WORLD

where the two warlords, DEURONG and ITOSHI are meeting. They are in a darkened home seated before a pool of water. they are discussing the Ronin Warriors, mostly the Ronin Warrior of Time.

"That Ronin Warrior of Time! Without him, the other Ronins would be easy to destroy," Itoshi declares, his hands encased in the steel gloves at his sides.

"Then, we must separate the Ronin Warrior of Time from the others," Deurong responds. Itoshi nods.

REAL WORLD WITH THE RONINS, MIA AND SAYLA

"Soon as Anubis opens the way to the Dynasty, then we will be able to deal with them once and for all," Ryo spoke.

"Boy, I can't wait. Those Dynasty jerks are history," Kento declares.

IYO moves over to the five Ronins as they are discussing what to do. Iyo has a strange feeling that soon the Dynasty is going to attack them again soon but he doesn't know how he knows. MIA and SAYLA are also with the five. Little Sayla is leaning against Mia, asleep.

"You won't have to wait too long," Iyo said. They look at him.

"Why?" Sage asks. Something strange was happening and Iyo seemed to know what. Iyo only shruggs not knowing how he knew before answering Sage.

"Because the Dynasty will be attacking us soon."

The Ronins and Mia look at Iyo. There are mixed expressions of shock on the faces of the Ronin Warriors but Mia nods smiling. She knew that since Iyo possessed the Armor of Time he would have certain insights to what is to come.

"An attack! Where and when?" Kento questions loudly. He was itching for a fight with the Dynasty.

"How do you know this Iyo?" Rowen questions looking at Iyo with his intent dark blue eyes.

Iyo did not know how to explain it and his expression of confusion is clearly evident. He shrugs.

"I don't know how I just feel them, their closeness as they approach and especially their evil."

"Ah yes," was all Mia said. The Ronins turn to look at her.

"Yes what?" Cye asks.

"With his appropriation of the Armor of Time, Iyo has become more sensitive to what is to happen, what will happen and when," Mia answers.

"So you're saying Mia, that Iyo is seeing into the future?" Kento asks. The idea was interesting. They would know if they win this battle against the Dynasty.

"In a sense yes," Mia responds. "Though he won't know what happens if you win or lose."

"Oh." Kento said.

Iyo listens. He is way past disbelief since the things he's already seen has destroyed that disbelief.

"Then we had best be ready," Cye said.

"I am ready!" Kento declares.

"Good. Because here they come,"Iyo says.

Sure enough a dozen or so Dynasty Warriors appear surrounding the group from the front. Quickly, Mia grabs up Sayla who is jerked away crying in fear. The five Ronins fight the Dynasty Warriors but Iyo back away. He doesn't want to fight. It is so not like him.

A couple of Dynasty Warriors rush at Iyo who moves to one side causing the two Dynasty Warriors to fly by him.

Ryo is fighting a Dynasty Warrior barehanded and saw that Iyo is not fight. Ryo flips up then kicks out at the Dynasty Warrior.

"Hey Iyo, shouldn't you be fighting back?" Ryo calls out to him.

The two Dynasty Warriors facing off against Iyo continues to do so even as Iyo dodges their attacks with ease. In the midst of his dodging, Iyo shakes his head in response to Ryo's question.

WITH SAGE

Who is facing off against some Dynasty Warriors himself. They rush at him weapons aloft and about to split Sage in two. That is until Sage dodges left and right striking quickly at those weapons. Then striking at the Dynasty Warriors sending them flying away from him.

CYE

Now Cye remains in place with three Dynasty Warriors surrounding him. He is calm as he looks at them. These warriors don't know what to make of it. Why isn't he attacking them? Is what's going through their minds. Then, without a word from each other, the Dynasty Warriors attack Cye. It is then, when Cye struck. He had been wating for just such as this and it paid off. As the Dynasty Warriors came at him, Cye attacks, defending himself and knocking his opponents unconscious.

ROWEN

A couple of Dynasty Warriors rushes Rowen who fights back striking quickly with hands and feet, thus defeating the Dynasty Warriors.

WITH KENTO

Is fighting three Dynasty Warriors with his brute strength.

More Dynasty Warriors apear forcing the Ronin Warriors together around Iyo, Mia, and Sayla.

"Ryo, call our armor," Cye said. Ryo nods as he does so.

The five Ronin Warriors transform in to their armor though Iyo does not. He stands where he is, fists clenched at his sides tightly, keeping himself rigid and keeping the Armor from appearing on him. He does not want to fight.

"Iyo what's wrong?" Rowen asked noticing that Iyo wasn't armored and that he seemed to be holding himself in.

"I don't want to fight," Iyo said through clenched teeth.

"None of us do Iyo. But in a situation like this, one must either fight or be conquered," Rowen remarked.

Iyo stares at Rowen. For some reaon those words hit a chord within him. On one hand, he wanted to help the Ronins and on the other hand he didn't.

The Dynasty Warriors move in on the Ronins, trying to reach Iyo.

"They're trying to reach Iyo," Cye said fighting with a couple of Dynasty Warriors. "Don't let them get to him."

The five Ronin Warriors now defend Iyo against the Dynasty even while Iyo watching, fighting to keep the Armor of Time from appearing and thinking on what Rowen had said.

The Dynasty Warriors move closer forcing the five Ronins ever closer to Iyo, Mia, and Sayla.

"They're getting closer," Sage declared.

"We can't let those Dynasty jerks get near Iyo," Ryo said.

The five Ronins continue to fight.

Then a blast strkes close causing everyone to fly backwards. In doing that, the blast and the impact causes Iyo to temporarily lose his tightly wrung control. His armor is now able to appear.

From this vantage point, Deurong and Itoshi has seen the whole thing. Right down to the donning of Iyo's Armor of Time.

"Those bunglers. They weren't supposed to allow that Armor's appearance," Deurong growls.

"Seems like its up to us then. To separate the Ronin Warriors," Itoshi said calmly. Deurong only nods.

"Then let's get this done."

Deurong and Itoshi fades, disappearing from where they were.

BACK WITH THE RONIN WARRIORS

They regain their feet, Ryo helps Mia to her feet while Kento helps Sayla before looking at Iyo, who's once more in his armor.

"Ready to fight Iyo?" this came from Ryo.

Sighing, Iyo nods. He realized that no matter what he does to keep from fighting, he knew there were those who wouldn't let that happen. That, in order to return to his peaceful ways, the Dynasty must be defeated. Taking up the two knives that were a part of the Armor of Time's arsenal, Iyo moves, taking his place with the five.

"So, Ronin Warrior of Time, you have finally accepted your role as the Ronin of Time. Prepare to be defeated with your comrades," a voice out of nowhere came to their ears. The six Ronins recognized that voice. It was Itoshi. And standing next to him was none other than Deurong himself.

"Ronin Warriors, prepare to be defeated and destroyed," Deurong said.

"We will NOT be defeated!" Ryo said hotly holding his swords in his hands.

"We shall see. Oh, we shall see," Itoshi smiles. It is an evil smile filled with malice and madness.

More Dynasty Warriors appear. These are way different from the last batch that the Ronin Warriors fought. For one thing, these seemed more competent than the others.

"Your defeat is at hand, Ronin Warriors," Itoshi declares in a loud voice.

"You talk too much," Iyo said.

The Dynasty Warriors rush toward the six Ronin Warriors, their weapons, a conglomerate of swords, axes, and staffs, in hand even as the Ronin Warriors fought back meeting them as the Dynasty Warriors rush at them.

Mia and Sayla remained with the six Ronin Warriors, staying out of the line of fire (forgive the pun *grins*).

These Dynasty Warriors have succeeded in separating the six as Deurong and Itoshi attack Iyo.

Using his two knives, the Ronin of Time is deadly even while blinking in and out of time. Neither Deurong nor Itoshi can tell when Iyo would appear half of the time.

Another time blink and Iyo is gone.

"Where'd he go?" Itoshi questions looking around for the Ronin of Time. Deurong is enraged. He just realized that the Ronin Armor bestowes its user the power to move through space and time. They would unable to find Iyo unless he reappeared close to where they are.

"He's gone. We have to leave," he said.

"But..." Itoshi protests.

"We have no choice. For all we know, he's back with the other Ronins by now," Deurong said. Itoshi sighs as the two disappear.

WITH THE FIVE RONINS, MIA, AND SAYLA

Having defeated the Dynasty Warriors the five have hooked up with each other, Mia, and Sayla. But there is no sign of Iyo. They had been looking everywhere in the sewers, and had not found him.

"Anyone seen Iyo?" Ryo asks as they met up.

"No, after we were all separated he just sort of disappeared. We have to find him though. We need him," Rowen replied.

"Then let's go find him," Kento said.

"Hey! You all looking for me?" a voice comes to their ears. At first the five Ronins thought it might have been Itoshi or Deurong as their hands took up their weapons, ready to fight. They look around but saw...nothing. They relax their holds on their weapons, for they had recognized that voice. It was Iyo.

"Iyo, where are you?" Cye calls out.

Iyo chuckles. His laughter sounding all around them,

"Heh, I'm everywhere and yet I'm nowhere."

Then, he appears, standing next to Mia who jumps to one side, startled.

"How'd you do that Iyo?" Cye questions.

Iyo only shrugs,

"My armor."

"We need to leave, to meet with Anubis," Sage said. The Ronins nod.

SOMETIME LATER

The six Ronin Warriors, Mia, and Sayla have exited from the sewers and are walking down the streets, always ready to defend themselves against the Dynasty. They had already fought groups of Dynasty Warriors on leaving the sewers already, many of these Dynasty Warriors had been intent on destroying the Ronin of Time but the others always rallied around him.

In the distance, a beam of light has appeared, shooting high in to the sky.

"There it is! The way in to the spiritual world!" Mia declared pointing at the light.

"We must hurry," shouts Ryo.

The began to run heading toward the light.

THE BEAM OF LIGHT

Anubis, having opened the doorway waits for the Ronin Warriors' arrival.

They had best hurry. This will not last long.

The group arrives sometime later as Anubis nods.

"This is the way into the spiritual world Ronins. You must hurry," he said.

The Ronin Warriors nods, stepping into the light as it sucks them up in the air. Mia, Sayla, and Anubis watch as the six Ronins disappear.

"Good luck Ronin Warriors," Mia murmurs as she watches as they disappear.

Note: Whew! Am I glad that's over. Prepare for chapter 5. Now that the six Ronin Warriors have entered the Spiritual World, they will meet all sorts of beings, many of which will want to kill them. Well anyway, stay tuned. Heh Heh!
