Chapter 3

A New Dynasty Warlord

SEWER SYSTEM

The six RONIN WARRIORS, MIA COJI, and SAYNA NURITU are making their way out of the sewers. IYO had been walking beside the little girl Sayna while the five Ronins are around Mia.

"Aw come on Mia, what was it you were gonna say? Tell us?" Kento asks her again.

Mia looks at him shaking her head, "Not yet Kento. I need to think on it more."

"Why? You seemed startled when Iyo mentioned seeing Talpa and Dorow fighting?" Cye questions. "Is there something...?"

"It seem that Iyo as the Ronin Warrior of Time would know more about Dorow. But why Talpa? Could Talpa and Dorow be enemies or something?" Mia wonders.

"Why even bother with Talpa? He's dead," Kento iquires, pointing at Ryo, "Ryo saw to that."

"I don't know. Dorow may be more than a match for you five. I have a feeling that Iyo will be more of a help than even he realizes," Mia said shrugging.

The five Ronins are quiet at those words from Mia as they ponder them. Iyo and Sayna catches up with them as Iyo notices that the five Ronins are silent. Looking at the five, Iyo asks,

"Hey Hey! Why the silence?"

As he asks that the five Ronins and Mia stares at him with pecular looks of shock and befuddlement. Iyo blinks, taken aback by their looks.

"What? What'd I do?" he asks.

"Have you ever had such dreams Iyo?" Mia questions. She stares at him, watching his face closely.

The only facial expression Iyo makes is the lifting of his brow.

"Not that I know of. Why?"

"I was just wondering," Mia says.

"What?" Iyo is curious now as are Ryo, Sage, Kento, Cye, and Rowen. They all stare at Mia questioningly.

"Do you know something we don't know?" Rowen asks.

"Just that Dorow and Talpa did hate each other. It seems that they did fight, at one point, for control of the Dynasty. Talpa won and banished Dorow," Mia begins.

Iyo listens in shock wondering about that.

"Come on, let's keep moving," Ryo said.

WITH DEURONG

in the Dynasty Temple, he's getting chewed out by his master. Dorow's voice is loud, reverbrating everywhere in the Temple as Deurong stands there.

"Since you can't deal with the Ronin Warriors, I have to bring out my Warlord of Madness," Dorow's voice rages.

Deurong stares forward in silent anger at that.

"But Master, I can destroy those Ronins by myself. You need not summon the Warlord Itoshi."

"You will do as I command!" Dorow's voice is loud again. Deurong bows.

"I shall do as you say Master."

"Seems Lord Dorow has indeed curled your mouth Deurong," a voice comes out of the darkness from Deurong's left.

Deurong turns in the direction of the voice to see a tall dark skinned man with spiky green hair wearing blue/black armor. Itoshi steps forward until he's beside Deurong.

"Yes and you'll still as arrogant as ever," Deurong shot back.

The two glare at each other but Dorow's voice shouts again,

"I SAID---SILENCE!"

Both Warlords face forward.

"Now Itoshi, destory those Ronin Warriors!" Dorow demands.

"Yes Master," Itoshi, the Warlord of Madness says turning and disappearing.

WITH THE RONIN WARRIORS, MIA, AND SAYNA

they had been walking for a long time when five of the six Ronins sensed the presence of the Dynasty. They stop gathering around Sayna and Mia and Iyo, who is not wearing his subarmor.

"We got the Dynasty here," Cye quietly spokem.

Iyo looks around with a confused gaze. he has no idea why they could still be discussing his dream earlier. It was as if the dream was important or something. Why does it seem important? Could there be some hidden meaning behind the dream? Something that would give them some kind of clue.

On hearing Cye's voice and noting that they had gathered around him, Sayna, and Mia, Iyo blinks.

"What? What are you talking about? There's no Dynasty here. Its just us," he disagreed. As he said those words, a strange sense of danger overcame him, It is followed by something new. Iyo noticeably stiffens causing Mia and Sayna to look at him.

"Oh Boy!" hw mutters, not realizing he'd said those words aloud causing everyone to hear. "This is going to be very very VERY bad."

"What is it Iyo? What are you sensing?" Mia asks instantly laying a gentle hand on his arm.

"Dynasty Warriors and a new Warlord," he replies. His voice has a particular quality like he's in a trance.

Ryo, Cye, Sage, Rowen and Kento look at each other then at Iyo in perplexity. But its Sage who asks the question going through all their minds.

"What did you say, Iyo? A new Warlord?"

"Who is it?" Mia quietly asks.

Iyo blinks, coming back to himself. He sees that they're all around him with looks of confusion on their faces, "Excuse me?" he asks.

"Another Warlord, Iyo? Who is it?" Cye now asks reiterating Sage's question.

"I don't know what you're talking about? Another Warlord,"Iyo repeats. The five Ronin Warriors and Mia continues to stare at Iyo. Its a shock that Iyo couldn't remember what he said not too long ago. That he doesn't know who this new Dynasty Warlock is.

Then Mia moves away from Iyo and Sayna while indicating to the five Ronin Warriors. They follow her until they're some distance away from Iyo.

"What is it Mia? How come Iyo doesn't remember?" Ryo asks her.

"I think it has to do with his armor...," she begins.

"His armor?" Sage questions. Mia nods before replying,

"He's close. The power of the armor has already bonded with Iyo and so he's able to pick up on the power. More so than you five."

"So, you're saying Mia, that Iyo can pick up on the past through his armor?" Cye questions.

"Yes. Thats it exactely," Mia said and nodding, "though consciously he doesn't know or maybe believe."

"Wait a minute wait a minute. Are you telling us, that after all he's see and been through, he still can't believe?" Kento exclaims in shock.

"That's about it. And if he doesn't believe then all of you will lose this battle," Mia responds.

The five Ronin Warriors are shocked as they look from Mia to Iyo and back. Each young man thinking the same thing.

Iyo must believe in the power and strength of his armor, or they will lose this fight against the Dynasty. How were they to help Iyo in his belief?

After a while the Ronin Warriors and Mia return to where Iyo and Sayna are. They move on, out of the sewers.

OUTSIDE THE SEWERS

they exit. Finding themselves somewhere.

"Now what?"Kento wonders.

No one says anything for the longest time. Then a voice comes to their ears.

"Ha Ha Ha Haaa!"

They look around but see---no one.

"You Ronin Warriors are so weak! Pathetic! Easy to defeat and destroy!" the voice taunts them.

"Then fight us! If YOU dare!" Ryo exclaims.

"Very well," the voice comes again, calmly.

Mist, strange black foul smelling mist comes rolling in. Iyo clutches his nostrils at the foul terrible smell.

"Agh! Smells like somebody's old sweatsocks left in a gym bag for days," he mutters.

"That, we didn't need to hear," Mia said. She and Sayna are also holding their noses.

The mist clears revealing a man in armor.

"I am Itoshi, the Warlord of Madness! You Ronins won't defeat me!" Itoshi exclaims.

"We've deated your partner, we can defeat you!" Kento declares.

"We'll see we'll see," Itoshi say, removing his weapon from somewhere on his person. A couple of swords much like Ryo's only thicker in the blade. The five Ronin Warriors summon their armor, weapons ready.

Itoshi attacks, slashing out at the five then kicks them away from him. He's fast faster even than the five Ronin Warriors. The five Ronins land against the far walls. Iyo watches this with something like shock.

Whoa! He's strong. And fast. How can the Ronin Warriors defeat this new warlord? thinks to himself.

The Warlord of Madness comes at the five again, sending them back against and through the walls. Itoshi laughs. There's madness tinged in that laugh.

Wtching the five Ronins being defeated, something within Iyo snaps. A calmness descends over his mind his thoughts. While at the same time, Ryo goes flying landing at Iyo's feet. Iyo gasp as he kneels before Ryo in concern.

"Ryo, are you okay? You hurt anywhere?" he asks. Ryo looks at Iyo, a sarcastic look on his face as he answers,

"No I'm laying here for fun!"

"Okay okay! I get the picture. What can I do to help?" Iyo enquires.

"We could really use your help," he responds.

"But how?" Iyo asks.

"Summon your armor," Ryo instructs.

Iyo nods moving away from Ryo. Closing his eyes, Iyo thought back to the first time his armor appears, seeking to try that again.

Itoshi, standing over Cye about to deal the final blow, looks up just in time to receive Iyo as he ran into Itoshi in a tackling move. Iyo is in his armor.

Itoshi gets to his feet and saw Iyo in his Armor of Time. The Ronin Warrior of Time, daggers in hand unleashes his attack.

"Uh oh!" Itoshi mutters while at the same time, Iyo shouts,

"TIME STREAM!!!!!"

Liguid like surface appears before Itoshi before completely submerging him. Itoshi disappears along with the liquid.

Iyo watches as Itoshi disappears and a hand thunks on his shoulder.

"Good work Iyo!" Ryo congradulates him.

A voice is now heard, from within their minds.

I will help you enter the Dynasty World. Be ready.

The five Ronin Warriors knew that voice. It was ANUBIS. They move on away from the sewer entrance.
