Chapter 2

Arrival of Anubis

SOMEWHERE IN THE METAPHYSICAL WORLD

a gold light shines somewhere. It is the place where ANUBIS fell in his battle with Lady Kayura to return her to herself. The glow intensifies. The waters froth and bubble faster and faster. Then, the light changes to a silvery color and the water bursts upward. A body appearing first as a silhouette then becoming more and more solide. The water calms as the body floats on a cushion of air sedately. His eyes closed. It is ANUBIS, now in the garb of the Ancient and holding the staff in his hand. Then, he disappears.

IN THE SUBWAY

where the RONIN WARRIORS are. The five with MIA COJI are talking about Iyo and of his armor of time.

"So Mia, what do you know about this new Ronin?" Ryo asks.

"According to my grandfather's notes he mentions a stronger Dynasty led by Lord Derow. When Talpa's no more and things return then Lord Derow will come," Mia began.

"And where does the Ronin Armor of Time come in?" Sage asks.

"According to my grandfather's research, the Armor of Time is a part of your white armor, Ryu...."Mia began.

"Wait a minute... How's that even possible?" Ryu breaks in with the question.

"After Talpa was defeated the Dynasty was defeated but in the defeat of Talpa, a new stronger Dynasty would come. The defeat of Talpa at your hands in turn created the armor of time for this armor new signals the coming of the new Dynasty."

"We've seen the power from the armor but is there more to it?" Cye asks her.

Mia nods saying, "yes. In the hands of a good and just person the armor of Time will give the Ronin Warriors a definate edge in the battles to come."

Before Mia can say anything more, the five Ronin Warriors sense something. The coming of the Dynasty Warriors.

"Mia! Go get Iyo! We got company coming,"Rowen said. Mia nods and heads over to Iyo.

Dynasty Warriors appear surrounding the five. The Dynasty Warriors look around; they seem to be searching for someone.

"Looking for someone?!" Ryu said.

The five Ronins, in their subarmor, standing in the center of the warriors when a voice come to the five Ronins' ears.

"You Ronin Warriors will be defeated here and now!"

"Who said that? Show yourself!" Kento bellows as they look around for the source of the voice. Then DEURONG makes his appearance. The five Ronins are in a ready stance.

"Didn't you get the message when Iyo kicked your butt the last time," Kento of Hard Rocke declared.

"Ah but the Ronin Warrior of Time is not here and you five will be defeated before he can get here," Deurong bellowed.

"That's what you think!" Cye said.

Deurong shakes his head laughing as the Dynasty Warriors attack the five Ronins.

WITH MIA

who's quickly making her way back to where IYO and the child SAYLA is. More Dynasty Warriors appear hampering her progress to Iyo but she is able to barely get by them. Behind her, the sounds of battle is heard clearly as Mia continues on. Finally, Mia is within shouting distance of Iyo and Sayla. Cupping her hands to her mouth, she calls out,

"Iyo! The other Ronins need your help!"

She continues to call out until Iyl, holding Sayla's hand practically appears before her.

"Where are they?" he asks her. The subarmor is on him now.

Mia points back where she came saying at the same time,

"Back that way. They really need your help Iyo."

Iyo nods as Mia takes Sayla's hand and follows as Iyo runs toward the fighting.

SHORTLY BEFORE IYO'S ARRIVAL

the five Ronin Warriors had donned their armor to battle the Dynasty Warriors.

Two warriors for each Ronin. With his two, Ryu of the Wildfire is battling with his swords. Feint, dodge, block, strike continues onward.

"Grr! Those Ronins are going to win. I think not!" Deurong declares leaping into the fray.

With a backhand swipe, Deurong sends Rowen and Kento flying backward. A slash from his blade causes Sage and Cye to back up quickly but Deurong comes at them striking. They fly back, getting to their feet near Ryu.

Deuroug stares at Ryu, a look of cunning and malice on his face.

"You're going down, Ryu of the Wildfire."

"I don't think so. If anyone's going down, its you!" Ryu declares, swords before him.

With a yell, Deurong rushes forward as do Ryu.

Their weapons ring loudly as they meet. Deuron and Ryu jump back again and clash weapons again.

"You are no match for me, Ryu of the Wildfire," Deurong said.

"No way!"

They come together again, but this time a shock of black lightening enamating from Deurong's blades. Ryu gets the shock full force tossing him away.

The other four Ronins join him, standing about him.

"Ryu, you okay?" Kento asks.

Ryu has gotten to his feet before answering, "Yeah. Be careful, he's got some kinda juice."

"Enough to crush you puny Ronins," Deurong laughs evilly.

"I think we should use the White Armor?" Cye said.

"You think so?" Ryu asks.

"He's too strong for us otherwise. We can't afford to lose this battle," Rowen declares.

"Its the only way, Ryu," Sage speaks.

Deurong hears their plans and the grin gets wider.

"The White Armor won't help but try if you wish," he said.

The five Ronin Warriors are about to call forth the White Armor when they're interrupted by the STAFF OF THE ANCIENT.

"Anubis?" Ryu asks in shock on seeing the staff.

"But, that's impossible! Anubis is dead," Rowen said.

"I was but I have returned," Anubis answers.

Deurong stares at Anubis in concernation, "that's impossible! You're supposed to stay dead!"

"As you can see, I am not," Anubis spoke in a calm voice.

"You will die!" Deurong bellows using his sword and slashing about him. The massive shaking starts up again. But this time, Anubis holds up the staff. The tip swings as the rings spin. At the same time, the Ronin of Time makes his appearance.

"Time----Stream!!!!"

As liquid appears submerging Deurong. He sputters and looks around.

"Where are you Ronin of Time!"

Iyo, after unleashing the attack had landed next to Cye, Ryu, Kento, Rowen, Sage, and Anubis.

"Hey Dorkhead! I'm right here!" he calls out. Deurong turns to look at him standing next to the Ronins and Anubis. There's a smile at Anubis' lips that Deurong notes.

"Why are YOU smiling?!"

"Only that you will be defeated," Anubis answers.

"I don't think so!" Deurong began. "Dynasty Warriors!"

Surrounding them, Dynasty Warriors appear before rushing at the Ronin Warriors.

Anubis begins to disappear, "Where are you going Anubis?" Cye asks fending off a blow by one of the Dynasty Warriors.

"I must go. Fight on Ronin Warriors," Anubis replies before disappearing and another Dynasty Warrior coming at Cye, weapons slashing.

Cye blocks the slash with his partisn then hooks the sword. The warrior tries pulling out of it as Cye sends the other end and sending the Dynasty Warrior up and over him. Now, Cye holds back his partisan before thrusting it forward,

"Super Wave Smasher!"

As a large wave swamps the Dynasty Warrior.

Rowen is fighting his Dynasty Warriors. Stringing his bow and sending multiple arrows. Now, Rowen takes up another arrow out aiming, while pulling in the energy and gathering that energy.

"Arrow----Shock---Wave!" he said releasing the arrow. The attack is on target, striking the warriors.

Kento, in the meantime is using his strength and his staff. Those Dynasty Warriors don't know when to quit as they keep coming at him.

"Man! These Dynasty jerks just keep coming."

Grabbing two warriors and bashing their head together with a loud clank. Kento takes up his staff now, and spins it over his head before bringing the weapon down.

"Iron--Rock--Crusher!"

As those Dynasty Warriors disappear in the wake of the attack.

Sage, using his nodachi is slashing out at the Dynasty Warriors. His attack has a precision to it, leaving Dynasty Warriors down and out.

He holds his weapon up high, gaining power and charging up his weapon before rushing the warriors and slashing at them, releasing the large blast of thunder at them.

"Thunder Bolt Cut!"

Ryu had been moving among those Dynasty Warriors attacking them. Dodging and darting among them with his blades and slashing out.

Now, he stops gathering strength combining his swords then leaping into the air. Now, he slashes downward at the Dynasty Warriors calling out,

"Flare Up Now!"

The attack releases a large amount of fire that strikes the Dynasty Warriors.

During the attacks, Iyo makes his appearance, joining the five Ronin Warriors, weapons ready looking over at Deurong.

Deurong smiles, "You Ronin Warriors relly think you will defeat my master as you did with Talpa!"

"We don't think so, we know we will defeat you and your master," Ryu declares.

"You don't even know who it is you're fighting?"

Images appear in Iyo's mind. He seem to be seeing fighting. Two beings, one in his armor, another in dark armor. They're still fighting. Then the picture changes. Now, its of the dark armored being on the ground and the helmet is off. Voices begin speaking,

"Derow, you are defeated."

"Derow?" Iyo mutters not yet realizing he had spoken aloud until the Ronin Warriors and Deurong goes silent.

"What did you just say Iyo?" Rowen questions moving to stand before him.

Iyo blinks finally noticing Rowen and the other Ronins. They are staring at him in perplexity.

"I--I don't know. What did I say?"

"You mentioned a Derow. Is that the new Dynasty Leader?" Rowen questions.

"I guess so. But I don't know how I know that name." Iyo said. He's still confused about what he had seen in his mind and would need some time to figure it out.

Deurong yells in anger causing the Ronin Warriors to look at him, their weapons at the ready.

"You'll never get to see my Master, Ronin Warriors!" Deurong hisses. He slashes out with his sword. A massive shaking begins. The six Ronins struggle to stay on their feet. Deurong laughs as the shaking becomes more and more profound.

"We gotta do something about the shaking," Kento says.

Iyo, bracing himself with a bit more ease, hears Kento's statement.

What to do>

Ronin of Time, you have the strength to use the power of the Armor of Time. Use your virture of Peace to truly understand and unlock the power of the armor. The voice of Anubis speaks to Iyo from within his mind.

Iyo blinks at this. He doesn't know what is going on nor does he know who that was, but he decides to do what the voice said, see what would happen.

A strange feeling of peace overwhelmes Iyo, as his armor takes on a golden glow.

Deurong notes this, as do the Ronin Warriors. They're still fighting more of the Dynasty Warriors while trying to stay on their feet.

"Hey! What gives?" Kento asks holding a Dynasty Warrior at bay and looking over at Iyo.

Amid a gold background, Iyo is holding his knives.

"Rain of Time!" he suddenly shouts as he raises the knives above his head and bringing his arms down at the same time.

Bright stars begin raining down on Deurong and the Dynasty Warriors. The Dynasty Warriors begin rusting and becoming dust leaving Deurong alone.

Ryu, Cye, Sage, Kento, and Rowen begin approaching Deurong intent on taking him out but Deurong disappears. His voice comes to them from everywhere.

"You won't defeat my master Ronin Warriors!"

Another voice, deeper more ominous now speaks in a voice of thunder,

"Ronin Warriors! YOu may have defeated Talpa, but I am more of a match in destroying you. Even with you Ronin Warrior of Time! For I am Dorow, Lord of all! More powerful than of Talpa! And I will not be defeated!"

Ryu, Cye, Sage, Kento, Rowen and Iyo look at each other. But their purpose is unshakeable. In unspoken agreement, the six Ronin Warriors vow to defeat Dorow and his Dynasty freeing the people from his evil hands.

SOMETIME LATER

Mia and Sayna rejoin the six Ronin Warriors. The two had also heard Dorow's and Deurong's words.

"Do you know anything about this Dorow, Mia?" Ryu asks.

He is leaning against one of the walls where Mia sits facing all the Ronins, who're still in their subarmor.

"Well, Dorow is stronger than Talpa. His power is unmeasurable. According to my grandfather's research, Dorow was Talpa's rival for control. Each fought but it was Talpa who was the victor." Mia began. Iyo listens in silence, his thoughts confused.

He was remembering a dream he had before all this had happened.

FLASHBACK----DREAM SEQUENCE

Two men, both wearing armor are fighting. One is using a sword, the other a battleaxe. They clash once, twice, thrice before the man with the sword crashes against the other's battle axe causing that weapon to fly out of his hand. The armored being with the sword brings the sword up to the other's neck. There seems to be talking, then the unarmed being disappears leaving the other, Talpa standing there victorous.

Iyo blinks as Mia stops speaking. Ryu, Cye, Sage, Kento, Rowen, and Mia are staring at him. There's shock and a bit of curousity in their gazes.

"How'd you know that Iyo?" Mia speaks up in question.

Iyo blinks again at her question, no idea what she's talking about,

"Excuse me?"

"You were talking about Talpa and Dorow battling?" Rowen asks.

"Just something I saw in a dream," Iyo answers with a shrug.

Mia gasps as she realizes something. The six Ronins look at her.

"What is it Mia?" Sage asks her.

Mia shakes her head and is silent for a while.

"I think we better leave here before the Dynasty Warriors return."

They nod, moving away, each one wondering what it is that Mia had discovered or realized and doesn't tell them.
