**digimon introduction
in the lab after school, Davis, Cody, Yolei, TK, Kari, Tai, Matt, Sora, Izzy, Mimi, and Joe have already made it. With Izzy seated at a computer terminal and the rest standing/or sitting around waiting.
"Has anyone seen Ken and Samantha?" Izzy asks, looking at the group.
All the digimon are with their digidestined.
"HKen mentioned in an email that he and Sam would be coming in togther," Yolei announces. Izzy looks at her nodding.
A FEW MINUTES LATER
SAMANTHA and KEN enter. They're both carrying their digimon.
"Sorry we're late. Sam here started to not come," Ken explains looking back at Sam who stops at the doorway of the computer lab and looking around with a bit of trepidation. Tai moves over to her,
"We're all friends here, Sam."
Tai talkes up Sam's hand and gently pulls her fully in to the room with the rest of them.
"Yeah Sam, we're among friends," Pteramon echoes Tai from her position in Sam's arms. Sam smiles allowing Tai to pull her inside the room. Izzy types something on the computer for a while.
"So, what is this..., Digiworld?" Sam began to question.
"The Digiworld is where the digimon live," Izzy pointed at Pteramon now at Sam's side. "It's made out of data and bits from the Internet."
"Okay, let me get this straight, the Digiworld and digimon are made from bits of data. But data's not real, yet Pteramon here is?" Sam asks looking from Izzy to the digimon and back again.
"The digimon are quite real as you can see and saw is data," Izzy nods. Tentomon looks over at Sam before also nodding.
"Okay, I guess I can understand...," Sam says deciding not to go into it anymore. She shrugs realizing that this Digiworld is real.
"And now, the Digiworld's in more danger," Tai says causing Sam to look at him. She had no idea he had spoke.
"Is this a common thing?" she asks.
"FAirly common. And its up to us to save it, " Cody speaks up.
"Um, why us?" Sam asks.
"We're the only ones who can," Davis replies.
"Uh...," Sam only says.
IN THE DIGITAL WORLD
a dark CASTLE where an evil mind plots to destroy the digidestined and conquer al of the Digiworld. SUROK is his name.
Those digidestined! They foiiled my plans. I'll get them!
Surok paces the length of the room within the Dark Castle pondering and planning. Then, an idea forms within his twisted, evil mind. On his face, there's an evil grin as his thoughts spun the idea around and around in his mind.
EVERYWHERE IN THE DIGIWORLD
strange black square-like Walls begin to arise. These walls began emitting a strange pulsating sound as all the digimon hear it. Looking closely, the digimon's eyes glow bright red then the glow disappear. But the digimon are under the control of Surok and his Control Walls. Hidden somewhere on these digimon are tiny red dots from the Control Walls. Many of the digimon are under Surok's control that is. Surok directs his digimon to attack the digidestined.
Surok smiles as he watches the digimon as they search for the digidestined, to no avail. Since they are currently in the real world.
THE REAL WORLD
the group of digidestined kids finish explaining, what they can about the Digiworld and their digimon partner, to Sam.
"So what you're saying, isi that these digimon rely on us to help them digivolve," Sam reiterates stumbling a bit over the word digivolve. Her Pteramon is now standing next to Biyomon and the other digimon. Izzy had turned back to the computer terminal, hiis eyes focussing on something there as the other kids explaining more about digimon and the digiworld to Sam, Izzy had seen something going on. He looks at the others.
"I thiink we better get back to Digiworld guys. Something's going on there." he speaks causing the group to look at him again.
"What? What is it, Izzy?" Tai asks stepping up beside him to see what's on the computer screen.
"Don't know. Strange activity going on there," Izzy shrugs.
"Then, let's go check it out!" Davis exclaims. Veemon looks over at him in agreement.
"I think we need to find out more about this Surok person, Davis. We don't even know if this Surok person's human or not," Kari said, shrugging.
".... And how dangerous he is," Yolei spoke up.
"Um, how are you going to do that?" Sam asks.
"Just go back to the Digiworld, find out who and what this Surok is," Ken answers Sam's question. "And deal with whatever's he's doing."
"Okay," Sam said. "And how are we supposed to get back?"
"Your digivice will get you there and back," Cody answers. Izzy types something on the computer. The screan begins to glow brightly.
One by one, the kids hold up their digivices to the screen and are pulled into the computer. Sam's shocked at all of this. Now, its her turn. With Pteramon close, Sam holds out her digivice to the computer screen and her eyes closed.
"Whoaaa!" she yells as she too is sucked into the computer.
BACK IN DIGIWORLD
the twelve digidestined with their digimon partners are standing around waiting when Sam and Pteramon put in an appearance.
"Now what?" Sam asks them.
Before anyone can answer, a crashing sound comes to them.
"What is that?!" Mimi exclaims. Palmon looks toward the sound as a giant beetle-like digimon crashes into sight.
"Um.... What's that?!" Sam exclaims in fright as the massive creature crashes in to sight. Sam's eyes had widened at her first glimpse of the creature.
**THAT IS BETRAMON. IT LOOKS LIKE A BEETLE BUT ITS PINSER SHAPED CLAWS CAN RIP A DIGIMON OR A HUMAN IN TWO. ITS ATTACK IS CALLED THE MAGNADESTROYER.** says in Pteramon's voice.
"What are we going to do now?" Sam asks the others.
Davis looks around then at Sam, "I say we fight!"
Holding out his D3 before Veemon, "Digiarmor Energize!"
"VEEMON ARMOR DIGIVOLVE TO ---FLAMEDRAMON!"
Sam watches as her mouth drops in shock as Veemon transforms.
"H--How'd he do that?!" she gasps out.
"Thats Flamedramon, Veemon's armored form. Our digimon digivolve through these here digivices," Izzy explains holding up his own. "Only Davis, Yolei, TK, Kari, Cody, and Ken's digimon can armor digivolve. Ours can not."
Betramon looks over at Flamedramon and attacks,
"Magna Destroyer!"
"I believe Flamedramon can use our help, no matter how small it may be," Izzy said bringing his digivice up at Tentomon.
"TENTOMON DIGIVOLVE TO---KABUTERIMON!----KABUTERIMON DIGIVOLVE TO ---MEGAKABUTERIMON!"
The others get in on it also.
"AGUMON DIGIVOLVLE TO----GREYMON!----GREYMON DIGIVOLVE TO METALGREYMON!"
"GABUMON DIGIVOLVE TO---GARURUMON!----GARURUMON DIGIVOLVE TO----WEREGARURUMON!"
"BIYOMON DIGIVOLVE TO ---BIRDRAMON!---BIRDRAMON DIGIVOLVE TO---GARUDAMON!"
"PALAMON DIGIVOLVE TO---TOGEMON!---TOGEMON DIGIVOLVE TO----LILLYMON!"
"GOMAMON DIGIVOLVE TO---IKKAKUMON!---IKKAKUMON DIGIVOLVE TO---ZUDOMON!"
"GATOMON DIGIVOLVE TO---ANGEWOMON!---ANGEWOMON ARMOR DIGIVOLVE TO---NEFERTIMON!"
"PATAMON DIGIVOLVE TO---ANGEMON!---ANGEMON ARMOR DIGIVOLVE TO---PAGUSUSMON!"
"HAWKMON DIGIVOLVE TO---ACQUILLMON!---ACQUILLMON ARMOR DIGIVOLVE TO---HALSEMON!"
"WORMMON DIGIVOLVE TO---STINGMON!---STINGMON ARMOR DIGIVOLVE TO----PUCCIEMON!"
Sam watches in shock and a bit of confusion as the digimon change though Pucciemon looks harmless and cute.
"Whoa!" she mutters under her breath in awe at the transformations and wonders if Pteramon can do the samething. Pteramon looks up at Sam, then nods. Sam now watches the others battle Betramon, standing next to Ken and Matt.
"Fire Rocket!"
"Horn Buster!"
"Giga Blaster!"
"Wolf Claw!"
"Wing Blade!"
"Flower---Cannon!"
Vulcan's Hammer!"
"Rosetta Stone!"
"Star Shower!"
"Tempest Wing!"
"Heart Beam!"
Betramon flicks at the attacks as if they're no more than an irritation.
"Huh?" Tai wonders in question.
"What gives?" Davis exclaims.
Betramon laughs, a low rumbling noise, "You digidestined and your puny digimon are no match for me!"
Sam and the others watch as Betramon slaps at the digimon before him. Each digimon crash into each other, to lay in a heap, together. Then, they dedigivolve back to their rookie forms. The twelve digidestined rush over to their digimon partners in horror. Sam is still watching them. She doesn't know what to do. Her digimon partner would not stand a chace against Betramon.
"Pteramon, we've got no chance to defeat that Betramon if the others are having a hard time. What can we do?" Sam says to her digimon. Pteramon hugs onto the girl's legs as if to protect her.
"Don't worry Sam. I won't let anything hurt you," Pteramon promises.
Sam bent and hugs Pteramon back, a few tears threatening to fall.
In the meantime, the twelve digidestined are near their fallen digimon hovering over the digimon in concern. Sam stares at them, noting the care and concern being shown to the digimon by their partners. She especially stares at Ken as he holds Wormmon.
They really and truly care for those digimon of theirs. thinking.
Her gaze fall on Pteramon again. I think I'd do the same thing if Pteramon got hurt.
Now Betramon focusses on Sam and Pteramon and comes at them.
"I won't let you hurt Sam!" Pteramon exclaims, standing in from of her.
"You can't stop me!" Betramon spat.
Ken jerks his head up, as do the others. "That digimon's pretty brave," he said.
Wormmon looks up at Ken, "And I'm not?"
"Aw Wormmon, I didn't mean it that way," Ken stumbles.
"Somebody's gotta stop Betramon," Davis said.
"I'll get em, Dafis," Veemon said tiredly, trying to get to his feet, but stumbling instead.
"No Veemon. You're too exhausted," Davis protests.
"I'm tired Kari," Gatomon says.
"Betramon took most of your energy Gatomon. Rest now," Kari answers in concern for her friend.
"Agumon, you'll be all right."
With Betramon coming at them, Pteramon takes to the air now before Betramon.
"Stay away from Sam! Slice of Life!"
And sending a large whirlwind at the bad digimon.
Betramon slaps the attack away in contempt.
Sam gasps at that, then she realizes that if Pteramon should lose then the others--Tai and Agumon, Matt and Gabumon, Kari and Gatomon, Yolei and Hawkmon, Sora and Biyomon, Izzy and Tentomon, Mimi and Palamon, Joe and Gomamon, TK and Patamon, Davis and Veemon, Cody and Armadillomon, Ken and Wormmon would all lose. Her newfound friends. They would do anything for her and for their digimon friends there. Now, Sam's with Pteramon and she's mad at Betramon.
"Go get that digimon, Pteramon!" she shouts.
At the same time, Sam's digivice lights up as Pteramon digivolves.
"PTERAMON DIGIVOLVE TO----EGUAMON!
Now Eguamon is much bigger with a wingspan of at least the size of a lear jet. She has the physical characteristics of an eagle, her coloring is a rainbow color around her tail and wings. Eguamon takes to the air, flying above Betramon, who looks up at her.
"Huh? Uh oh!" Betramon hisses out, getting a bad feeling about this.
"Nobody messes with my digidestine and her friends! WIND BLAST!"
Eguamon fiercely flaps her wings causing jets of wind that forms in a single blast of hard wind.
"Magna Destroyer!"
The two attacks strike as for a few seconds there seems to be an explosion at impact. Then, the Wind strikes Betramon. Before Betramon is destroyed into digidust, however, it laughs saying to the digidestined,
"You---digimon---will---never---digivolve nowwww!!!!"
Betramon disappears into digidust.
"What did Betramon mean by that?" Izzy asks. Tentomon regains his feet.
"Something bad, I would guess."
The rest of the digimon also regain their feet to gather around Sam and Eguamon as she dedigivolve back into Pteramon.
Before any of them can answer, a black glow, off to the right of them appears.
The look as the glow darkens is not good, then a Black Wall appears. Pteramon and the others feel a tingling within, though, for Pteramon its different. Like it can't get a hold on her.
"What is that?" Cody asks. No one seems to know.
WITH SUROK
he smiles as the Control Walls appear.
Now those digidestined can't do anything. Their precious digimon won't be able to digivolve to stop me. he thinks.
"Hm, perhaps I should send another digimon to deal with them?" he murmurs in question. "I have a better idea."
Surok gets to his feet and leaves the temple. Outside, large bat wings come up from at his back. The wings flap a few times before Surok's lifted up in the air. He takes off.
THE GROUP OF DIGIDESTINED
"Tai, I can't digivolve," Agumon said after awhile of silence.
Tai looks at Agumon quickly and in shock," What?!"
"I can't digivolve," Agumon said again.
Tai looks over at the others, "What about you guys?"
Looking at their digimon, eleven nods and one head shakes occurs.
All twelve stare at Sam in shock.
"How is it that Pteramon can still digivolve and ours can't?" Yolei asks her, hugging Hawkmon.
"I don't know," Sam shrugs in confusion.
"I don't believe it's Sam's fault, guys," Izzy said causing everyone to look at him.
"Then what?" Matt asks.
"Look at it this way, our digimon were doing fine," Izzy pauses.
"How's that?" TK asks in confusion.
"Simple. Our digimon were able to digivolve before that wall came up and now...,"
"That wall's what stopped our digimon from digivolving!" Davis exclaims interrupting. Izzy nods,
"Correct Davis. The appearance of that wall did indeed stop the digivolving process of our digimon. But I don't know why it didn't affect Pteramon."
"You digidestined are now powerless!" a voice comes to them from above.
"What?" Ken wonders. The kids look up and saw Surok.
"Who or what are you?" Davis questions up to him.
"I am Surok, the new ruler of the Digiworld!" Surok said.
"Not while we're here!" Cody speaks loudly to Surok.
Surok only laughs before disappearing from their sight. The digidestined look at each other, knowing that they had their hands full and not knowing what to do next.

Note: Here ends Episode 2 of this Digimon fan fiction of mine. Episode 3 goes into how Pteramon and Sam help the group. They will also meet up with an evil digimon known as ZITAMON.
