Hey! I think its Ken Ichijouji. He lives in the same building as me.
Sam blinks then quickly goes back to her book.
In the meantime, Ken kept wondering about the girl next to him. From profile, she looked familiar as if he had seen her from someplace.
I know I saw her someplace. But where?he thinks.
Then he finally remembers where he saw her. She and her parents had moved into the place next door to him and his parents. Ken turns his head to look fully at her. The dark hair, the green eyes all are the same.
"Hi, you just moved in the same building as I, right?" he asks her.
Sam looks up from her book, a blush staining her cheeks,
"Uh---yeah."
"I'm Ken Ichijouji," he introduces himself.
"I--uh--know. I'm Samantha Isru, but just call me Sam," she said.
"Sam," Ken spoke nodding his head once.
Sometime later, the bus arrives at their stop. Sam and Ken disembarks and walks to the apartment complex where they live with their parents.
STANDING BEFORE SAM'S DOOR
"Well thanks Ken for walking me to the door," Sam said standing before the door of the apartment where she lives with her parents.
"Its okay," Ken spoke indicating the next door. "I live right next door."
"Oh. Cool!" Sam exclaims looking in that direction.
She smiles at him before opening the door and going inside. After a while, Ken moves away from the door and goes home.
Inside, Ken's parents look at him as he enters.
"Oh Ken, you had a phone call from that Yolei girl," Mrs. Ichijouji said.
Ken stops to look at his mother before saying, "Okay mom."
Ken heads for his room where his digimon friend WORMMON waits for him.
"Anything wrong in the Digital World, Wormmon?" Ken asks his friend.
"More trouble Ken," Wormmon began.
"What kind of trouble?"
"A strange digimon calling himself Rajamon," Wormmon explains.
"What about Davis and the others? Have they been able to stop this Rajamon?" Ken asks.
Wormmon shakes his head, "No. Something's keeping us from digivolving."
Ken moves over to his computer but before he can open the digiport into the Digital World, his mother's voice calls to him.
"Ken? You have a visiter."
"Now who?" he wonders, leaving his room for the living room.
BEFOREHAND
Sam had gone inside where she goes to her room. She's stopped by her mother's voice,
"How was school Samantha?"
Sam stops, "Fine mom. I've got homework."
"All right dear. Study hard," Mrs. Isru said.
Sam goes into her room and closes the door. Inside her room, everything is pristine, neat. All of her stuff has a place of its own. Her computer sits on the desk along with her laptop. She goes over to her computer and turns it on while setting her backpack down next to the computer.
She sits down and begins logging onto the Internet, searching for something. Her search proves just a bit more fruitful and surprising for her.
Her computer screen glows brightly causing Sam to gasp and back away in fear.
What is going on here?! she thinks to herself fearfully.
The glow then explodes from the computer to land with an inauditable splat and a soft clang on the floor in front of her. The glow fades, then completely disappears. Sam looks down at her feet to see what it there. Lying ther is a strange hand held game-like device.
On closer examination, Sam notes that it looks more like a hand held computer and there's a strange symbol kind of thing like a capital S with curlies in the center. Curious, Sam picks the device up but before she can do anything more, her mother calls out to her,
"Sam, why don't you go make friends with that nice Ichijouji boy next door?"
Making a fist and enclosing the device, Sam leaves her room.
"Sure thing mom."
Sam leaves the apartment for next door where she knocks on the door.
Don't know what my mother's thinking but I might as well go through with it.
The door opens revealing Ken's mother.
"Yes?" she asks.
"I'm Sam Isru from next door. I'd like to talk to Ken," Sam replies.
"Of course! Come on it!"
Sam's ushered inside as Mrs. Ichijouji calls her son.
Minutes later, Sam and Ken are standing before each other, until Ken's mom has them go play.
"So, you like computers?" Ken asks.
Sam looks at him before nodding, "Oh! You bet!"
Ken leads Sam to his room where his computer is. Sam is enchanted by the computer and doesn't notice Wormmon there. Ken goes over to the computer holding out his digivice. Sam sees the device and noticing that its almost like the one she has.
"What's that?" she asks pointing.
Now, she sees Wormmon who moves over to Ken. "What is that?!" she asks as Ken picks up Wormmon.
"This is Wormmon, my best friend," said Ken, holding the digimon in his arms. "He's a digimon."
Sam's totally confused as she stares at Wormmon. Her green eyes wide.
"Digimon?" she asks.
"It's a long story. I don't have the time to explain." he said, turns back to the computer "Okay Wormmon let's go. Digiport open!"
As Ken and Wormmon are pulled into the computer, the device Sam had gotten out of her own computer begins beeping loudly tearing the girl from the computer screen in shock.
Taking the device out of her pocket, she looks at it.
"Now what?" she wonders.
The digivice gives off a bright glow that encompasses Sam and is also pulled in to the computer.
IN THE DIGITAL WORLD
Ken and Wormmon are met by KARI, TK, DAVIS, YOLEI, and CODY.
"Ken, glad you could make it!" Yolei calls out stepping before him.
"Wormmon mentioned some more trouble here," Ken answers.
Yolei nods as they're joined by TAI, MATT, SORA, IZZY, MIMI, JOE, and their digimon. Ken saw the older kids and asks,
"What's wrong?"
"We're going to need all the help we can get for this one," Yolei said. Then a yell is heard by the group.
"Whooooaaaaa!"
All of them jump at the scream.
"What was that?!" Kari asks.
"Don't know. Let's check it out," Tai answers moving over towards the sound. They began walking.
Landing close by, Sam gets to her feet and dusts herself off. Now, she begins looking around. Trees, Mountains, the Ocean. Everything's strange to her eyes.
Where am I? What is this place? And where'd Ken go? she thinks to herself. Her eyes are wide as she begins walking hoping to find someone who can explain this strange place to her.
Walking slowly and looking around, Sam doesn't see the small yellow/beige puffball with little triangular ears atop its head, until the girl trips over a rock.
"Oof!" Sam falls landing on her face then looking up at the creature.
"AHHHHH!" Sam screams scooting back in her fear to get away from the little creature.
"Don't be afraid of me, Sam," the little creature spoke bouncing over close to her smiling in a high female voice. It has a cute teddy bear smile.
"What are you?!" Sam exclaims in question, fear in her voice as she stares at the creature.
"I'm Ayaomon," the creature answers still bouncing up and down then bouncing into Sam's lap.
"Ayaomon? What?" Sam questions in confusion.
"I'm a---I'm a digimon.... I'm your digimon, Sam," Ayaomon said bouncing up and down still.
Sam's totally confused now as she stares at the energetic digimon.
A crashing sound now comes to the girl and the digimon's ears.
"What's that noise?" Sam asks in a panicky tone of voice and looking at Ayaomon. She was beginning to get used to the cute creature.
Ayaomon's little triangular ears are able to pick up the sound, and its one sound the little digimon definately does not like.
"Ruun! Its Bedromon!" Ayaomon yells bouncing in to Sam's arms urgently.
"Bedromon?! What's that?!" Sam asks picking up on Ayaomon's urgency.
"Bedromon is one baad digimon. Preferring the outdoors and attacking other digimon with its Treetop Cutter attack." Ayaomon's voice is heard(background kind of speech).
Bedromon makes its appearance allowing Sam to get a really good look at it.
Getting closer, Sam notices that Bedromon is a cross between a bumblebee and a caterpie, only bigger with a wicked looking stinger in front of it. It has hands/claws that look like they came from a bird. Bedromon begins heading for Sam and Ayaomon. Sam starts backing up, then she turns and runs, Ayaomon still clasped in her arms. Bedromon follows.
IN THE MEANTIME
Tai, Sora, Izzy, Mimi, Joe, TK, Kari, Davis, Ken, Cody, and Yolei reach the spot of the scream, only to discover no one there.
"The scream did originate from here? But where?" Izzy wonders.
"They've got to be around here, somewhere," Tai answers.
The group begins looking around for awhile before they regroup.
"There's no one here," Sora spoke up once everyone was back together.
"Then what was that scream we heard?" Biyomon asks.
"Could it have been another digimon?" Matt asks.
"Not any digimon we know about," Gabumon answers.
"Huh? What's that sound?" Cody suddenly asks on hearing the sound of someone running. It is getting closer too. Now, the others hear it.
"Wait for it," Tai said. Agumon stands next to Tai.
The footsteps get closer and closer, the digimon are ready then....
Sam skids to a stop nearly running into Ken.
"Sam?! What are you doing here?!" he asks in shock on seeing her.
"Don't ask me...!" she answers as a roar comes to their ears and Bedromon comes in view, above them. "Look out!"
Sam ducks down in fear, curling herself in to a ball. Her digimon Ayaomon squirms out of the girl's arms and bounces over to Agumon.
"Hi Agumon, I'm Ayaomon," the digimon said bouncing up and down.
"Who's that?" Matt asks as Gabumon moves to stand next to Agumon.
"Another digimon Matt. Ayaomon by name," Gabumon answers.
"Whose digimon are you?" Sora speaks up. Before Ayaomon can say anything Mimi steps forward and picks it up. She cuddles it to her cheek saying,
"You are sooo cute!"
Ayaomon struggles in Mimi's grasps until Yolei moves forward releasing the digimon from Mimi's grasp. Ayaomon bounces over to Sam answering,
"I"m Sam's digimon."
Everyone gasps at this, along with silence not far behind. The sound of Bedromon getting closer is heard.
"Why Sam? Is she a digidestined?" Ken asks. Ayaomon looks over at Ken before nodding,
"Yep."
"What's her crest?" Cody asks, finally regaining control of his voice.
"Don't know," Ayaomon said still bouncing up and down.
A deep bellow practically overhead causes the group to look up.
"What is that?!" Joe asks staring up at the massive digimon. Ayaomon quickly moves over to Sam in protection.
"Its Bedromon!"
Ayaomon stays close to Sam as the other digimon gather in front of the group. Bedromon spots the group of digimon before letting loose with its attack.
"Treetop Cutter!"
Two glowing beams of black light appearing from Bedromon's claws. The beams strike close to the digidestined, kicking up dust and dirt in their faces.
"Whoa! He's strong," Cody said.
"We can defeat it!" Davis exclaims.
"Not this time Digidestined!" Bedromon rumbles in his deep voice like thunder. "My master,Surok saw to that. I know about your power and it won't help you."
Sam looks up at Bedromon's speech then she looks at Ken and his friends. On each of their faces what she sees is shock and a bit of fear.
I wish Bedromon would just leave! Go back to where he came from.
Ayaomon looks at her digidestined noting that Sam's looking saddened. That changes as Sam gets to her feet, Ayaomon in her arms and there's determination in her face now. She steps forward as Ayaomon bounces out of Sam's arms before the other's digimon.
"I won't let you harm them Bedromon!" Sam exclaims. Ken and the rest look at Sam, there seems to be a kind of purity radiating from her as she stands in front of the twelve digidestined, her hands clenched in fists. Bedromon laughs at this which sends Ayaomon into action. The cute little digimon bounces toward Bedromon, then sent out small gold bubbles that coalesce in to a beam of bubble/light.
"Bubble Beam!"
Bedromon laughs slapping the beam of bubbles away from her then strikes out at Ayaomon.
"Treetop Cutter!"
The attack hits Ayaomon. Sam rushes to the digimon who lands before Palmon.
"You okay Ayaomon?" Sam asks, holding the digimon to her cheek. "He's too strong for you."
A tear drops from Sam's cheek to land on Ayaomon. At the same time, Ken and the others notice that a glow is coming from Sam's pocket where her digivice is.
"Guys, check it out!" Ken said pointing at the glow. Ayaomon also gives off a glow, beginning to struggle in Sam's arms.
Tai steps over to Sam, bent, releasing Ayaomon from her grasp. Sam looks at him, tears still on her cheeks.
"What you do that for?" she asks.
"It won't make a difference," he began then points at Ayaomon, "Look."
Sam follows Tai's finger as her friend Ayaomon glows then digivolves.
"AYAOMON DIGIVOLVE TO -----PTERAMON!"
Sam's eyes widen as Ayaomon changes. The digimon looks like a small (about Agumon's size) pteradactyl, bright yellow/beige in color.
Izzy now moves over to Sam and Tai. He points at Sam's pocket where the digivice continues to glow. Sam's confused at first before she reaches into her pocket, pulling out her D3.
"What is this thing anyway?" she asks Izzy.
"Thats your digivice. It helps your digimon digivolve...."
Sam stares at Izzy in confusion, "why's it glowing then?"
"Your digimon just digivolved. You see your digivice or D3 since yours look more like Davis, Yolei, and the others..," he stops indicating Davis, Yolei, Ken, TK, Cody, and Kari. "your D3 has more funcions than ours do."
"Oookaaay," Sam says turning back to look at Ayao---excuse me, Pteramon.
Now Agumon and the other digimon step up closer to Pteramon.
"Let's take out this bad digimon!"
The digimon nod. Pteramon, Biyomon, and Tentomon are flying above the others.
"Let's do this! Slice of Life!" Pteramon shouts while at the same time a whirlwind of air appears. The other digimon also uses their attacks on Bedromon.
Together, the attacks strike Bedromon. The stronger being Pteramon's Slice of Life spinning the bad digimon around and around. Then the rest of the attacks from the other digimon slams into him.
"You digidestined can't defeat my master!" Bedromon exclaims as he spins away.
The digimon return to their digidestined in joyous celebration. After a while, Sam looks at them and asks,
"So what are we supposed to do now?"
"We take out this Surok person!" Davis exclaims.
"Yeah!" Veemon shouts in agreement.
"I think we should first update Sam here on the digital world and her---all of our parts here," Cody answers.
Tai nods as do Matt and the older kids.
"But first, I thin we better return to the real world. We can meet in the computer lab tomorrow," Matt said.
"All right," Davis agrees a bit sadly.
BACK IN THE REAL WORLD
the group separates heading for home. Samantha and Ken head for home together. They're both carrying their digimon and there's silence.
"So you go to that Digital World a lot?" Sam asks.
"Yeah, we kinda protect it from evil. Thats what being a digidestined's about."
"Oh," Sam said as they walk on home.

Note: Here ends Episode one of my newest fan fiction. Episode two reveals Sam's involvement and her introduction as a new digidestined. It also reveals more about the new evil, Surok. I welcome all comments/suggestion to make this fan fiction better.
Somewhere in Tokyo, a young eleven year old girl is about to receive a shock. Taking the bus, SAMANTHA ISRU is heading for home from school. She's reading a book. The bus stops letting another kid onboard. Sam, as she likes to be called, looks up noting the boy. He has short black hair and is wearing what looks like a grey uniform. He steps up on the bus and kindd of turns his head, looking for a seat. There's one. Right next to Sam. He sits down as every so often Sam would look at him.
